The Office Is Coming To An End

As rumored, it’s confirmed that The Office will end after it’s upcoming season (season 9). The show was already getting old and tired when Steve Carrell left, and when he left, it just deflated. So sad. The good news is that the original showrunner, Greg Daniels, is taking over this season hoping to end the series on a high note, and I hope he does for the sake of the show! Greg Daniels said, “This year feels like the last chance to really go out together and make an artistic ending for the show that pays off a lot of the stuff that matters most to fans. This will be the last season of The Office. And we’re planning a very big exciting last season. We’re going to have a lot of faces coming back … There are a lot of things that I’ve personally been wanting to do since season two … All questions will be answered this year. We’re going to see who’s behind the documentary … Now that we know we have an end date we can blow things up and take some chances and it will be very freeing, creatively…You have a choice — only tell the beginning of story and the middle, or allow a story to end. If we didn’t let it end this year, I don’t think we would have been able to tell the ending stories of so many characters… we couldn’t count on getting everybody back for season 10.”

It’s sad to see any show come to an end, but I do think it’s time. And knowing that this season will be The Office’s last, I have a feeling that they’ll blow it out of the water. I hope Steve Carrell makes a cameo, it would be amazing to get him back on for a few episodes–just for old time’s sake.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Hooray!!! I’m glad that they’re choosing to end it instead of keeping it limping along, and it sounds like this season will wrap things up wonderfully.

I’ll have to watch this final season. It really jumped ship after Michael’s departure. I thought that ensemble cast might have been able to keep it afloat, but Steve Carrell’s character was really the nucleus of the show. Too bad, because it was one of my most favorite shows. Too bad I have no idea what went on most of the last few seasons.

I kinds had a feeling, another actress (not on the office) accidentally let this slip on her Facebook a few weeks ago. I also stopped watching after Steve Carell left….I have a mini crush on him, its true! But I just might give this last season a try….if anything I will definitely watch the last ep.

I still watched last season. It started off slow but gained momentum. I think they had to see where to go without Steve’s character.

I love Phyllis. She cracks me up every episode.

A few seasons too late, but I managed to weather through the most recent season (the worst) so of course I’ll stick through the final one. I really hope that they go out on a high note.

Love this show! I think the show could have been fine w/out Steve Carell if they hadn’t added the new characters. Robert California and the red haired woman were so annoying. They should have trusted the rest of the ensemble to carry on. There are some seriously funny actors in that cast!

And I’m sure Steve will show up at least for the finale
