The ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are doing a special to address Russell’s suicide. All the ladies were in attendance except for Taylor. They didn’t release whether it’s going to air before or after the premiere, but I’m assuming it has to be pretty close to the premiere so it’s not a “nevermind the pink elephant in the room” situation. The show is still set to premiere on September 5th, and all the re-edits have been completed according to the L.A. Times. I guess more to come on that, but I’m so curious if the special was shot reunion style with Miss Andy…that would be awkward, wouldn’t it? Knowing Bravo they probably just put together a short package to air during the show, but who knows?

But could you even imagine if Miss Andy hosted the special??

Miss Andy: Welcome to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Suicide Special. This upcoming season, you’re about to see a show that was totally re-edited to cut out the dead guy, but first we have to address why killing yourself is bad…(roll package). Ladies…

(too soon?)

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    I wish they didn’t edit anything. I completely disagree with Russells family’s assessment that it was RH that pushed him over the edge. It was obvious that Russell didn’t want to be on the show, but he signed on to it anyway for Taylor. The onus is on him and Taylor. To now manipulate ‘reality’ to make Russell out to be a nice guy or Taylor into a loving wife is ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as having Miss Andy hosting ‘a very special Watch What Happens Live’. Show them warts and all — they gladly took the money, no use bitching about their portrayal at this point.

    I agree ohralphie -
    If the powers that be are going to continue to reap the rewards from this (these) mess(es), I almost think it should be required viewing. The “special” is pure PR. This way, assuming this will go as I think, is a way out for Miss A, and Bravo, and even – dare I say – US!
    “Let’s take an hour, get it over with, and move on. Perfect!”
    And then we can go back to loving Adrienne’s tinsel hair…awesome! And…not.

    Well Nads dear, yes, it is a bit too soon. Well, what I really mean is it is a bit too soon if they didn’t whore themselves out in life to be recognized. Seriously if Russell didn’t want to be talked about like a little bitch he should have driven his questionable ass off a cliff and then we all could wonder if he really meant it.
    And I would love to see Ms Andy try to be the counselor for the masses. How uncomfortable would he be, and twitchy, glorious… because I don’t need to be helped with a loss, I need to be entertained.

    @Nads:
    LOL on Miss Andy

    Does anyone know if Russell’s partner was in any of the scenes? Maybe his family can blame RH too.

    Rusty was a nice guy. I knew him. I don’t believe he was a wife beater. My prayers are with the people who loved him.

    So many questions: Will Miss Andy wear a clerical collar? Will there be product placement for Kleenex? Will they all say they might have prevented it if they had just known?

    Can you tell this seems like major poor taste CYA to me? They should just subtitle it “A matter we need to address so that we can go back to making money from this lucrative franchise.” IMO they should have pushed it back to January, had a few seconds of silence at the beginning with a few pictures of Russell, then had a new start. There is no need to cause his family further pain.

    I am ok with the hour long special. Address it then edit him out of the show. And I don’t want to watch an entire season of her and her break up with Russell knowing that the man has committed suicide. Especially since they said that was the main storyline this season.

    Anyone else read that Taylor and Kennedy were at the house when Russells body was discovered? And worse still, Taylor can be heard wailing for her psychiatrist while the homeowner asks her to please take Kennedy away from the scene. Puts a lie to her not telling Kennedy that her father was dead….what else is Taylor lying about?

    Personally I always thought Russell got a raw deal. He seemed to me like kind of a decent/boring guy who wasn’t particularly social, so he didn’t want to spend all his spare time hanging out with a bunch of people he barely knew. For some reason, Taylor seemed hell bent on making him look bad, though.

    then again, I think Taylor is a horrible example of a homo sapien, so I might be biased

    @ohralphie,

    I heard about that on Headline News last night.

    Apparently nobody had heard from Russell for 3 days. So why in the world would Taylor take Kennedy to that house?! Of course, I can imagine that Taylor wouldn’t know that Russell killed himself, but either way it couldn’t have been a good situation to walk into and for her to bring Kennedy there just cements what I have always thought about that woman.

    I am not to sure about the raw deal, which I translate into bad edit. I felt sory for him in the beginning of the season and the birthday party from hell for taylor.. opps, the kid. And thought the dog was a perfect little girl gift from Daddy… And Taylor had such a vile reaction I wrote her off right then. But his shell started to crack and show us the scramble with in about the time she was speaking at a fundraiser. He insinuated he could have done a better job of getting peolple there to support her IF she had just told him about it. (Do you seriously think she didn’t?) The shell finally cracked open and the yolk spilled out all over the place at Kyle’s birthday party. He as just so clinically anti social and left her there. The picture of her forlorn face standing on the curb holding a big piecce of birthday cake, holding back tears broke my heart. I still thinks she made bad decisions, shot her mouth off wrongly, and couldn’t handle confrontation in a normal way…. but Russell didn’t need any help looking bad. Aim and shoot baby, that’s all it took.

    Honestly, Taylor’s such a joyful manipulator, that I simply couldn’t buy the Russell is a horrible husband storyline. Come on, she manipulated the situation with her daughter’s dog just because she was pissed off at her husband. That doesn’t sound like a woman cowering in fear to me. That sounds like a selfish b*tch who wants her own way.

    My husband would not have been comfortable with that crowd either. At least Russell showed up to parties even if he left early. He was clearly uncomfortable but went for Taylor. We have a group of friends that spontaneously breaks out into arguments & drama at parties, and my husband will no longer attend parties with these people. I don’t cry and make people think he’s mean, and I don’t hide in a bathroom for 3 hours. I just go, have a good time and say my husband’s at home.

    Also, is an abusive man really going to allow cameras in his home? I don’t think so. He may have been a dipsh*t in the past, but I think this guy was trying to make a decent life with Taylor/Shanna/Whatever her name really is.

    I agree that this suicide special sounds like a CYA event. I sincerely doubt the audience will be tuning into RHoBH to look for help. People will tune in for the snark which makes it even more disgusting.

    I must comment on the dog thing. My father did that to my mother about 20 years ago. He bought a dog for their children without consulting her. But when a young child has a dog, who takes care of it? The mother! So I can see any wife/mother being unhappy with the husband/father bringing home a dog, as that’s one more thing the woman has to take care of.

    My husband BETTER NOT bring home a dog without consulting with me!
