The Real Housewives Of D.C. Hasn’t Been Canceled Just Yet

Radar reported that The Real Housewives of D.C. was canceled today, but that is not exactly the case…Bravo told Access Hollywood, “no decision has been made yet.” I believe it. I know D.C. was NOT the most compelling city to watch, but I can confirm the Radar’s report was not on point because they also reported that Miami was on the brink of being canceled–and that’s not true.

I can’t say that I’ll miss D.C. if they give it the ax. I would give it another chance if they recast it, and gave it a story make-over…or even changed the city all together. Ha! But other than that, I say kill it.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Awwwwweee I don’t know. I would like to see the outcome of Stacie’s adoption drama and the bitchassiness of this cast without the Salami baloney. Next to Michaele these women looked pretty good, without her, I see the potential for some real asshattery. Maybe one more try?

I thought the show was boring because I think we were all waiting for what happened with crashgate, but without the Salamis it might be better. I say give them another run, but with a young firecracker who will start drama.

Totally agree Classy Drunk, the Salahi’s were just frustrating to watch, if I want to deal with delusional people, I will just stay at work 24/7. And how about some more people that actually live in DC? Would that be too much to ask for? I couldn’t care less about McLean (????). I live in Philly, and if they did a Real Housewives of my fair city, but chose most of them from Manyunk, it wouldn’t really be the same. (for those who aren’t familiar, Manyunk is technically Philadelphia, but it’s really more of a suburb, and please don’t attack me if you live there, I hope you know what I mean, Center City and Old City vs Manyunk….)

I live in the DC area so of course I want them to give it one more chance. Actually I liked that they had ladies from different parts of the DMV (DC Maryland Virginia).

I don’t know Libithina aren’t you kinda picking and choosing what neighborhood is “acceptable” and part of Philly?
I truly want to see a second season. It was so cool to see some of my favorite spots on national tv. They say that DC is the place that reality shows go to die. DC is a much more interesting city than protrayed on tv.

Okay so if I were going redo the show what would I do? Glad you asked. Well keep in mind that politics were supposed to be part of the show. They originally were casting for people with insider political knowledge and hoping for a politicians wife. Well politicos in DC keep their private lives extremely private. So instead show the DC that I and many others see. A city that works hard and plays hard.

Obviously the Salahis would have to go. Keep Stacy, Cat, and Lynda. Mary is kinda boring so ditch her too. Add in an athlete’s wife and maybe Edwina if she has a good storyline (she auditioned for the show but wasn’t picked). The liberal versus conservative tension between her and Cat would be good. I don’t really care about the adoption storyline either unless the new father brings some drama to the table.
