Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

They better hope Utah doesn’t fine them a dollar a pound. They’d be rooint!
From the link:
“Police felt pressured to investigate because of all the publicity”
In my opinion, that’s the money line.
If the Browns had been falsifying documents or something, would they have signed on for a reality show?
There is also a story floating around, I think it started on radaronline, that TLC actually asked the state about potential legal problems before they went into production, and were given the green light.
After reading so many conflicting things about Utah laws that pertain to co-habitation and fornication, I finally broke down and googled, which I guess isn’t my strong suit, because the closest thing I could come up with was from a le.utah.gov site that had text about fornication being a “class B misdemeanor.”
While selective enforcement of laws like that have a long history of being used to target members of one group or another, and serve a host of political career advancement purposes, it’s very possible that “all the publicity” could, in this case, come back to bite them in the butt. (which might be a whole nother class of misdemeanor there, I didn’t really research every little detail).
I mean, would basically be busting Kody for being a manslut, and the non-legal sister wives for hooking up with a man to whom they weren’t legally married.
Especially in a situation where there’s a lot of publicity and spotlights waving around, is there a gaggle of politicians in Utah or anywhere else who really wants to go either of those theres right now? (insert evil grin icon here)
OK I guess I’m having “OOps, Forgot This” night.
There’s a story up on TMZ that the Browns have now officially lawyered up with Jonathan Turley, no less, who is prepared to go to the wall, and has already publicly whipped out the “selective enforcement is illegal” card.
For the state of Utah, leaving the Browns alone and putting that energy into getting more reality show crews – and attendant revenue – into the state might be a cuter look.
I think there’s no doubt he is a polygamist. The fact that he is only legally married to one shouldn’t matter, because the other three are presenting themselves publicly (as is he) as married. This is similar to a common law marriage in some states. Common law marriages have protection under law same as legal marriages. Therefore; I’d think there would be prosecutory laws regarding this as well. I hope for the sake of the children this is stopped and the women get the counseling they need!
