Britney Is Making A Comeback On The MTV Video Music Awards, Will It Be Toxic?

The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) are coming this Sunday, September 9th and Britney is rumored to make an appearance and disappearance with the help of magician, Criss Angel, The Mindfreak.

I’ve got to admit, I’m very curious to see what she’ll look like. All we’ve seen in the past year or so is Brit being a train wreck, drinking, shaving her head, running out of gas, and flashing photogs. I’ve seen her “lower lips” more times then I’ve seen my own. So, can she pull it off? The old Brit, I would have said, YES. But, the new Brit??? How can we be sure?

Criss Angel is supposed to make her appear, and reappear several times throughout her performance using a series of mirrors, while her dancers are supposed to look like they’re flying in the air while being suspended by harnesses. Sounds like Cirque du Soleil has just thrown up and gone Spears du Soleil.

Britney has recently been leaking her songs all over the place, and while some of them actually sound like old sexy Britney, others sound like she’s channeling Alvin and The Chipmunks after a hard night of doing keg stands on a helium tank. Nonetheless, she’s making her comeback, and its TOXIC.

If Alvin flashes his mangina one more time I’m gonna lose it.

I’m excited to see if she can bring the magic; if she does then would this be the performance to top her past ones: of kissing Madonnna, getting jiggy with a snake, and dancing in a nude body suit. Can she do it? I bet her only motivation is The Mindfreak y’all! Hell, I’d be happy if she shows up with shoes on her feet and no Doritos or Cheesy-poof stained fingers. Anyone got a wet-nap?

Others that are slated to perform are Fiddy, Akon, Fall Out Boy, Cee-Lo, Chris Brown, Common, Foo Fighters, Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes, Lil’ Wayne, Daniel Merriweather, Rhianna, Mark Ronson, Soulja Boy, Timbaland (who’s also the VMA Maestro), T-Pain and Kanye. There have been rumors flying around that Justin Timberlake is suppossed to perform, and of course the always semi-present Amy Winehouse. You never know with that one, so cross your fingers! She’s already cancelled her US tour. Either way, it should be a great night full of stars, surprises and train wrecks.
