Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I agree about the political monologue. It was overly long & I almost switched. I think she can be great when she doesn’t try so hard. I love it when she just talks about her life.
All these talk shows are desperately trying to find a new format to replace the desk/couch setting. The round table doesn’t work for her. I’d rather see her one-on-one with a guest.
i totally agree Chooch. It was too forced. Where Chelsea, and Bill Maher can pull it off..Wanda can’t. Wanda is so funny by herself…they’re trying to make her something she’s not.
I totally think you are both absolutely correct about the length of the opening monologue- and while I think Wanda will always be somewhat political I am guessing that you will not see her going on and on and on like that again. I think she wanted to get out there and support Obama and now that she has I bet we see a bigger mix up in monologue topics. Also, I disagree with taking away the bar. I love that idea and just think she needs a few weeks to work out the kinks.
Either way I am tivo-ing next week. Love her.
the bar is okay, the panel just wasn’t…the idea is def. there (and i like it), but it just didn’t work this past sat. we’ll see next week.
AND…it is amazing that she’s even agreed to do a show on fox being the liberal woman that she is. some people won’t go near it.
Wanda Sykes has never even made eye contact with funny. From the sounds of it, this show hasn’t changed her ability to be painfully unamusing.
