I know this isn’t TV related, but it’s pretty cool news if you’re a Ticketmaster consumer. Due to a class-action lawsuit settlement, Ticketmaster has agreed to refund processing fees for up to 17 orders for users of their site between October 21, 1999 and October 19, 2011. You can’t collect until the settlement is all said and done, which won’t happen before April 15, 2012. But once the case is settled, they’ll refund your money within 30 days!!! That’s some nice news for a Friday! I know it’s not a lot of money, but it’s something!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Hells! Yeahs! I bought some expensive tickets to an outdoor concert that was cancelled and everything was refunded except the $30 in processing fees. What hell took $30 to process?!?!?? Thank you baby Jesus for small victories against the MAN.

I have no doubt the $6.00 I will get refunded will have a huge impact on my financial well-being. Oh, well–guess it’s better than nothing.

Thing that sucks is that they’ll only refund $1.50 for each ticket order. But it’s something…

And they’ll still charge processing fees, but now they have to disclose that they profit off the processing fees.

I got an email about this saying that I will be included in the settlement. It states that we will receive credit towards future ticket master purchases, not money. Which basically means you won’t get the settlement unless you spend more money at Ticketmaster.

Well, I went to a buttload of shows on The Police reunion tour so that’s a chunk right there without considering the other shows I’ve been to in that time period. I’ll take the credit since I’m going to concerts all the time.
