Tina Fey: The End Of 30 Rock Is On The Horizon

Alec Baldwin went on one of his twitter rants against the Today show yesterday…and tweeted, “I think I’m leaving NBC just in time.”

His reps said that Alec isn’t going anywhere, but today Tina Fey said that the end of 30 Rock is on the horizon. She told The View,  “We can’t do this for 35 years. He just means the end of the show is visible on the horizon. We’d love to keep going and see where these characters end up … [but] you don’t want to see me with a grey stripe in my hair, eating a slice of pizza, going on dates.”

As sad as I am to hear end could be near, I’m a little satisfied to read that Tina is realistic with the show. Sometimes it’s good to end on a high note. The Office should take note instead of trying to make it work now. I feel like The Office is in so deep underground that they’re trying to dig themselves out of the hole they created for themselves. I don’t know what the solution is at this point, but they need something…fast!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I love it when a show ends on its own terms while it’s still worth watching. Good for them!

I’ll miss Liz Lemon but I agree, go out of your own terms.

If they do another season then I hope it’s better than the current one, which has mostly been a dud. I want 30 Rock to go out on a high note.

While I’ll miss it, I do want them to go out on a high note. The Batman episode earlier in the season was classic!

As long as they don’t go out like Seinfeld, I can respect that.

I like the Office a lot. In fact, in some ways I like it even more now that the Michael Scott character is gone. I like it that they’re spreading the show toward the other characters — if they can succeed in placing the focus on the office itself, not on individual star characters, they could make television history.

I like the office too. I had WWMSD? Braclets made up in his honor.

The Office is still a good show, and it would be a great show if they would just focus on the Scranton characters. Robert is annoying and hasn’t added anything, and that new red haired woman is awful.
