After an odd first season of 2 weeks of new shows, 4 weeks of reruns, 1 week new, 2 week reruns, I am happy to announce that tonight NBC SPORTS starts airing all new episodes of POKER AFTER DARK. I’m a huge poker nut, and have fielded dozens of emails asking when the reruns will end, this is to all you folk – SET YOUR TIVO’s!!! Full season 2 schedule available after the jump so you can avoid the annoying reruns.
Also be sure to check out the weekend wrap up show where they redo the whole weeks game and the players analyze their own game play as well as the game play of others.

My first table at a WPT event…ok now back to the Poker After Dark info. ..
Poker After Dark: Bracelets Week Airs September 10
Phil Hellmuth headlines new episode featuring pros who have won at least 5 WSOP bracelets
Poker After Dark on NBC continues to bring viewers the very best in 6-handed action with a new episode entitled Bracelets Week. Only 17 players in history have won 5 or more World Series bracelets, and only 14 are still alive. This week, 6 of these poker superstars who have won a combined 44 World Series bracelets battle it out for the $120,000 winner-take-all prize in a match that makes for must-see television.
And what a lineup it is! Phil Hellmuth, who won his record-breaking 11th World Series bracelet this summer, headlines a stellar lineup that includes Doyle Brunson (10), Erik Seidel (7), T.J. Cloutier (6), Chris Ferguson (5), and Layne Flack (5).
This will be the first appearance on Poker After Dark for both Cloutier and Flack, giving viewers the opportunity to see the playing styles of some other players not seen during PAD’s first season. Hellmuth and Ferguson each have a PAD title under their belts, while Seidel and Brunson will be looking for their first victory.
All eyes, however, will be on Hellmuth, who proclaims himself as the greatest no-limit player in the game today. Phil, however, has struggled on Poker After Dark, never finishing higher than 4th in 3 previous matches, so you know how much he wants to win this match. But will he experience another blow-up as he did during the opening match of PAD’s first season? That match was a classic, and the rerun of the program garnered the highest ratings in Poker After Dark’s history, lending credence to the huge draw that Hellmuth has become on television.
The banter between the players is amusing, and is highlighted by some interesting prop bets players made before the 2007 World Series took place. Viewers will also love the heads-up battle for the title. This is simply a match that poker fans the world over will not want to miss!
