On this day in 1980, Mount St. Helens erupted, resulting in the loss of 57 lives, catastrophic damage to the surrounding forests, and over one billion dollars in property damage. Fortunately, geologists were able to predict an impending eruption, and convinced authorities to close Mount St. Helens to the public, likely saving thousands of lives.
Shark Tank (ABC 8pm) Finale: The sharks fight for a chance to go into business with an inventor; two fitness trainers pitch their idea for a unique home gym; a young man seeks an investment in his age-defying products.
He’s gonna make ‘em an offer they can’t refuse. Renewal status: Renewed.
Who Do You Think You Are? (NBC 8pm) Finale: Chef Paula Deen investigates her family history and learns about an event that affected her ancestors during the Civil War.
And that event was the discovery of mayonaisse-coated, deep-fried bacon. Renewal status: Cancelled.
Nikita (The CW 8pm) Finale: Michael and Nikita infiltrate Division in hope of capturing Percy; Sean and Alex are caught in a gunfire battle; Birkhoff seeks help from Sonya.
Everybody loves a sexy Russian super spy/double agent/government experiment/whatever she is. Renewal status: Renewed.
Grimm (NBC 9pm) Finale: A trail of murders reignites Nick’s search for the gold coins; a mysterious woman in black starts to interfere with Nick and Hank’s investigation; Nick’s relationship with Juliette reaches a crossroads.
Dump him, Jules! It doesn’t feel like a proper David Greenwalt show without a broken-hearted protagonist. Renewal status: Renewed!
Supernatural (The CW 9pm) Finale: Sam and Dean team up with Castiel, Meg and Bobby as they prepare to battle Dick Roman (James Patrick Stuart).
Dick Roman sounds like a character name from a gladiator-themed porno. Renewal status: Renewed, yet again, because… really, I have no idea why.
Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country (CMT (9pm) Jennie and her 3 daughters, Luca, Lola and Fiona, decide to build a tree house; Corinne finds activities for Jennie to release some anger; sawing, hammering and painting with her girls is where Jennie finds comfort.
Getting divorced has to suck so much when you want to stay married and your partner doesn’t, but come on, Jennie — the guy openly admitted that he enjoyed reading the Twilight books and that’s why he auditioned for the movies. I’m sure you can do much, much better.
Whale Wars: Viking Shores (Animal Planet 10pm) Finale: As the hunting season reaches its peak, the crew of the Brigitte Bardot must redirect a pod of over 100 pilot whales away from the island’s coast.
Renewal status: I have no freaking clue. It doesn’t look like this has been renewed for a sixth season, probably because most people moved on from the whole “Save the Whales!” thing in the ’80s. I’m not sure what all the cool people care about saving right now. In the ’80s it was whales, in the ’90s it was the rainforests, in the ’00s it was all about reducing our carbon footprints… what are we worried about now, guys? BPA? Vaccines? Global climate change? How can I know what to worry about if nobody will tell me?!
Magic City (Starz 10pm) Stevie is confronted about his affair; Klein reveals damning evidence to Ike; Meg refuses Ike’s offer; Ike must make a deal after he is caught lying to Ben.
Is anybody watching this?
Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta (TLC 10pm) Episode:Top 10 Mama Dramas
In my dreams, this is a crossover episode with Don’t Be Tardy For the Wedding.
Common Law (USA 10pm) Wes and Travis investigate a woman’s fall from the balcony of her honeymoon suite.
Spoiler alert: She was pushed!

I think we are back to saving the whales, only now it’s an obesity issue.

You know, I think I’ll pass on that third Twinkie.
So embarrassing. I was told that I had lost my connection, so I reposted.
iPad lie.
I’ve never even heard of Magic City or Common Law. Have they been on long? Better yet, will they be on long?
I really don’t understand why viewers haven’t gotten hooked on the thrill ride of celebrity genealogy.
In my dreams, every episode of Say Yes to the Dress is a crossover with that gun battle mentioned in the Nikita write-up.
If you want to know what to worry about, turn on the news. In 6 minutes, you’ll be scared out of your effin’ mind: “After the break: terrorism, economic collapse, antibotic-resistant superbugs, America’s slow exit from the superpower club, political gridlock, ethnic cleansing, melting ice caps, the return of cholera, and Mitt Romney.”
Yay! I’m so happy Supernatural is renewed. Its a great show!
