Monday, June 8
On this date in 1873, Susan B Anthony was fined $100 for attempting to vote in the 1972 presidential election. She looks pretty pissed about it.
The Bachelorette (ABC 8pm) The group travels to Dubrovnik, Croatia; the men hope Emily’s one-on-one time with Ryan will allow her to see through his facade; Arie sneaks out to see Emily; the bachelors get decked out in kilts and compete in Highland games.
Nothing says romance like a visit to the city that is home to the oldest still-in-operation pharmacy in Europe — it lends a certain je ne sais quois to the typically mundane task of filling one’s Valtrex prescription.
Tia & Tamera (The Style Network 8pm) Tia meets with her book publisher in New York City, while Tamera tries to convince magazine editors that she has moved beyond her sweet teenage image.
And this, boys and girls, is why we develop marketable skills after outgrowing our adorable teen sitcom.
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (Vh1 8pm) Scrappy tells Erica that he has doubts about their relationship.
Apparently he’s been secretly in love with Scooby this entire time.
Real Housewives of New York City (Bravo 9pm) Episode: Boozy Brunch
… aren’t they all?
American Pickers (The History Channel 9pm) The guys stumble on an out-of-the-way property where an atomic-era spaceship clock catches Mike’s eye; Junk Man Bob’s huge collection.
Does anybody else find this show’s name somehow clunky and off-putting? I don’t know what it is, but it really bugs me.
Glass House (ABC 10pm) Seven teams of two work to solve a wall puzzle based on information about their fellow contestants; two players end up in limbo and make a plea to viewers in hope of being voted back into the house.
If you listen carefully, you’ll be able to hear ABC’s “Suck it, CBS!” party from as far away as Bozeman, Montana.
Taken: Missing Children with Elizabeth Smart (The Biography Channel 10pm) Elizabeth Smart takes a look at parents who have found themselves searching for a missing child.
When I think about the number of people involved in pitching, writing, producing, and signing off on this show, it makes me want to kick humanity in the junk. What. The. Fuck.
Miss Advised (Bravo 10pm) When an old flame comes to town, Julia has trouble following her own rules; Emily’s happily married brother comes to visit.
Watch it!
Outlaw Empires (The Discovery Channel 10pm) The Aryan Brotherhood grew out of the racial desegregation of the 1960s and had its origins in the American prison system.
In case you weren’t taking notes while watching Oz.
Teen Wolf (MTV 10pm) The new shapeshifter strikes again; Scott must convince Allison to acquire a rare book in Gerard’s collection.
Remember when all teen wolves used to care about was playing basketball and getting the girl?
What will you be watching tonight?

Anytime, SuburBint.
My problem with American Pickers is twofold: noses immediately spring to mind because of that nine-year-old boy who refuses to leave my brain. Also, I have been a mom for entirely too long.
Welcome back from my favorite city, SuperB!!!! Thanks for checking in once in a while. My jealousy may subside now.
Why was Susan voting in the 1972 election? *giggle*
@NWMTV — Dude, seriously. I will take you out for a beer or donate my kidney or whatever, all you need do is ask. One of the highlights of my vacation was reading this article, laughing my ass off, wondering why in the world Flipit ever let me take it over when you stepped down from full-time duty. You, sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.
@SSC — 1972? OMG. As I was writing that I was so focused on making sure I had the right century for the first date that my stupid fingers defaulted to the 1900′s for the second date. I blame it on the fact that the majority of my formal education (and therefore hundreds upon thousands of term papers requiring the date) took place in the last century and muscle memory is a cruel taskmaster. Either that or SBA was one of the Doctor’s companions and did attempt to vote in the 1972 election, and those misogynistic ass hats from a century prior punished it for her anyway. And yes, San Diego was glorious — if it could lose about half of its population and still keep all of its amenities, I would seriously consider living there. Sadly, the Bintmobile died a horrible and tragic death on the way home so I am quite literally home bound for the foreseeable future, which means I have no excuse to postpone the accumulated laundry from our trip any longer. It is good to be home, but I’m not so sure it’s good to be stuck home. Oh well.
Why are we supposed to watch Miss Advised?
