Thursday, April 12

Euro Disneyland (now Disneyland Paris) opened 20 years ago today, and the world said, “Meh.”

Missing (ABC 8pm) Becca tries to uncover clues about Michael’s location; Michael plans his escape.

This is really starting to feel like season one of 24 to me, and being a straight female, I would much rather watch Keifer Sutherland than Ashley Judd. I guess it’s cool that Ashley Judd’s film career (especially in the late ’90s) helped her prepare to play the plucky heroine willing to overcome any obstacle in order to take the bad guy down.

American Idol (Fox 8pm) The finalists face elimination; Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo and Rick Ross perform; James Durbin performs.

How many times do you think Weight Watchers plugs Jennifer Hudson will insert during her performance? Email me if you want in on the betting pool.

30 Rock (NBC 8:30) Liz encourages Jack to open up to his ailing mother; Jenna dates a musician; Tracy tries to convince his son to forgo college.

It may be my narcotic pain meds talking, but I really feel like this show is super tight this season. I had to watch last week’s episode three times in order to catch all of the jokes, and I still feel like I missed a few.

Grey’s Anatomy (NBC 9pm) Cristina makes Owen tell her about the intimate details of his affair.

Why? For Pete’s sake. I am so over this stupid, stupid, stupid soap opera. Just stop.

Touch (Fox 9) Teller tries to repair his relationship with his estranged daughter.

Which will be difficult since he doesn’t talk.

Dateline: Real Life Mysteries (TLC 9pm) A young detective embarks on a journey to beat the odds on the job using her head and heart.

It sounds like a Lifetime Original Movie, doesn’t it?

Scandal (ABC 10pm) Olivia must protect a new client who is under investigation; Quinn runs into trouble.

Why are there so many characters named “Quinn” on television? I have never met a Quinn in real life.

Awake (NBC 10pm) Episode:

Celebrity House Hunting (The Biography Channel 10pm) Rather than putting her house through a remodel, Lisa and her husband want to by something new.

Fun fact: She is married to Harry Hamlin, and they played an (extraordinarily dysfunctional) married couple on Veronica Mars.

The Pauly D Project (MTV 10:30) Pauly deflects sloppy women in Las Vegas.

Goodness knows he has a gift for attracting some crazy chicks.

About

After giving birth to her fourth child, SuburBint carefully weighed the options and decided that recapping reality TV was probably a better choice in the long run than alcoholism. Liver function tests have yet to confirm the wisdom of this decision. Being an honest-to-goodness recapper is also a dream come true, as she has aspired to do this ever since discovering that such a thing existed way back in 2002.

Her favorite shows of all time include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Coupling, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Firefly, Community, Parks and Recreation, Doctor Who, and Veronica Mars. She can also quote The Big Lebowski in its entirety, and will do so with little to no provocation.

If you run into Ashley Judd, don’t call her “Puffy”.

I like to imagine that he has a body shield, like in Dune, and when they get close enough, they bounce off and latch on to other men that are in the fallout zone.

I agree with you about 30 Rock, SuburBint. It has been really good this season.
