Tuesday, April 17
Thanks to the fact that April 15 fell on a Sunday this year, you have until midnight tonight to either file your taxes or apply for an extension.
Glee (Fox 8pm) The glee club performs disco-inspired dance numbers in honor of the film “Saturday Night Fever.”
They’ve already ruined several of my favorite songs, I suppose it was only a matter of time before they tarnished this as well.
Dancing With the Stars (ABC 9pm) Train performs; Selena Gomez & The Scene perform; the couples face elimination.
Did you know that Selena Gomez got her start on Barney? Yes, that Barney.
The Voice (NBC 9pm) Vocalists face elimination.
Not this Elimination
The Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo 9pm) Alexis plans a “glamping” trip with the girls, but then backs out.
The word “glamping” makes me want to kick somebody in the junk.
The Deadliest Catch (The Discovery Channel 9pm) The boats jockey for position on the Blue grounds; a returning veteran quickly proves his worth on the Red grounds.
I haven’t watched this show since Captain Phil died — when did it turn into an elaborate game of capture the flag?
Dance Moms Miami (Lifetime 9pm) Episode: Don’t Judge Me!
My second favorite stupid thing that people on reality programs say (topped only by “he/she isn’t doing this for the right reasons.”)
Raising Hope (Fox 9:30pm) Episode: I Want My Baby Back, Baby Back, Baby Back
Now I want ribs. I don’t even like ribs. Well played, Chilis.
16 and Pregnant (MTV 10pm) An aspiring dancer with an unreliable boyfriend considers adoption.
I think we can pretty much take the “unreliable boyfriend” part as given on this show by now.
Amish: Out of Order (The National Geographic Channel 10pm) The Columbia, Mo., ex-Amish community includes two brothers trying to help a friend leave the sect and a man who still yearns to return to his Amish family after five years outside the sect.
I have a feeling that this show is going to be fairly depressing.
Best Ink (Oxygen 10pm) The artist must design tattoos for Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling.
Dean McDermott already has four tattoos that depict or are otherwise dedicated to Tori Spelling. That’s not creepy at all.
What will you be watching tonight?

Oh I am going to be watching Deadliest Catch. This season actually looks really good! In the previews for the season, someone falls overboard and another ship has to call the coast guard. That has not happened before, the calling of the CG.
This show has pretty much been capture the flag, but since Phil died, it has pretty much been that. I guess it just wasn’t really depicted that way. With the quota cut in half this year, it really does seem, capture the flagish…I don’t like Keith at all, he is such an asshole douchbag!
I will also be watching Alexis and all them bitches camp!! Oh this should be fun!! Did you see that Alexis is going to be on an episode of General Hospital on May 9th!?!?!?
What about Biggest Loser?
Crossing my fingers that Conduh is the one who walks off!!!
Recap of every episode:
“We gotta find them crab!”
“If we don’t fill them holds with crab, our families ain’t gonna eat!”
“Now we gotta catch some more crab!”
“I thought we caught a lot more crab than that!”
“Yer father, now HE could catch crab. You, you ain’t yer father. You can’t catch no crab.”
suburbint: I find that if I just don’t watch Glee, Glee doesn’t have too much effect on me. It’s annoying, like a buzzing mosquito, but it’s like Glee is buzzing around someone else’s ear, so it’s not so bad.
NWMTV: I haven’t watched Glee since season one, when I realized that a premise that I thought might actually be awesome was going to suck. (In my opinion! I know some of y’all still love it, so put down the slushies and walk away quietly.) But that doesn’t mean that I don’t hear things, and since the Glee commercials come fast and furious during my Monday night Bones/House watching, I can’t remain as blissfully ignorant as I would like to.
I almost put TBL on the list, but I always put it on the list and I’m starting to get bored of the same old shows. Trying to find a balance between things I know people are going to want to watch and stuff that looks interesting and/or humorous. But I’ll put it back on next week cos I like to give the people what they want!
Wasn’t there an episode where the CG had to send the helicopters out and do some rescues with the uber-divers? Or am I confusing Deadliest Catch with that Kevin Costner/Ashton Kutcher movie? I loved Phil, I bawled like a baby when he died, even though I watched it on Netflix instant viewing like a year after the episode actually aired and totally knew what was going to happen.
I hope the RH camping trip is more exciting than the Jersey Shore camping trip. I would imagine “glamping” means that they are staying in cabins with heat and jacuzis and all that stuff, but maybe they’ll get lost in the woods and eaten by bears? Or sprayed by a skunk, that would be fan-freaking-tastic.
You forgot all of the bleeps, NWMTV. And I’m pretty sure it should be “cain’t” in the last sentence, not “can’t.”
I’ve seen the show and I’m certain they all know quite a bit about catching crabs.
Somehow the idea of people ruining a good song has never appealed to me. I even get a little tetchy hearing a fave of mine remade for sale.
Not that they aren’t talented.
Suburbint I am rewatching the season of Deadliest Catch with Phil’s death. I believe they mention the quotas were going to be lower the next season as I believe that is why a lot of them were discussing getting out of the business.
Jeez, how did I forget the bleeped out profanity??
Those Deadliest catch guys got it goin’ on in the potty mouth department: they can use “fuck” as all eight parts of speech, sometimes in the same sentence…
