On this date in 1915, “Typhoid” Mary Mallon was placed in quarantine for the second time, and would remain quarantined until her death in 1938. She is believed to have infected at least fifty-four people, three of whom died as a result of their illness.
Dancing With the Stars: The Story So Far (ABC 8pm) A look back at the first two performances; never-before-seen confessional footage; backstage moments.
Two episodes in, folks, and we’re already having retrospective episodes. That bodes well.
The Biggest Loser (NBC 8pm) Dolvett and Bob try to prove that exercise is not boring.
I’ve never found exercise to be boring — it’s mostly the hard work, sweat, and discomfort that I find unappealing.
Dancing With the Stars (ABC 9pm) Couples face elimination; performances by Sugarland and Matt Nathanson.
Ah, the difference a semi-colon makes!
New Girl (Fox 9pm) Episode: Fancyman (Pt. 2) — Jess’ date with Russell (Dermot Mulroney ) does not go as planned; Nick’s college friend tries to help him get over Julia; Schmidt and Cece’s relationship is discovered.
Fancyman Part 1 was quite possibly the funniest episode of this show to date — if you haven’t given it a chance yet, it is totally worth your time!
Ringer (CW 9pm) Episode: Let’s Kill Bridget
Can I think about that for a little while?
Dance Moms (Lifetime 9pm) The dance company is on edge after learning that a scout will be attending the upcoming competition; Abby pits the girls against each other by creating two trios; Nia pushes herself too hard.
All of these events sound extraordinarily sucky. Also, FREE VIVI!
Tabetha Takes Over (Bravo 10pm) Tabatha tries to help a salon owner whose absence is ruining her business and leaving her staff directionless.
Wait, so if I open a business and I want it to succeed, I have to actually show up and do stuff? Damn.
Top Shot (The History Channel 10pm) Two shooters go head to head to avoid elimination after a grueling contest taking aim at bowling pins, bottle openers and other specialty targets.
Regardless of how you feel about guns, the ability to shoot a bottle using a mirror to aim and firing with a vintage handgun requires a pretty special skill set.
16 and Pregnant (MTV 10pm) A cheerleader tries to get her boyfriend to be serious about parenthood.
If I didn’t know what show that description was for, I would think it was a cheesy romantic comedy. Also, next time you’re having way too good of a day and need something to feel depressed about, google “16 and pregnant jail.”
Best Ink (Oxygen 10pm) Premiere: The first challenge tests the artists ability and the second challenge is to cover bad ink with new art.
This is exactly what happened in the first episode of Ink Master. I suggest a déjà vu drinking game.
What will you be watching tonight?
If you like it, spread it!:

Tabs is always entertaining. Most of us could give the same advice to the dorks who throw lots of money into a business without giving a thought to putting anyneffort into it, but she does it so entertainingly.
Yeah. Exercise is usually work and sweat and icky stuff. But one year we spent some time near Camp Pendleton and used the exercise facilities. The treadmills were on a balcony overlooking the machines, and believe me the view was fantastic. Most people have to wipe off sweat. My machine was covered with drool.
Ah memories.
Ok don’t hate me for saying this, but I’m kind of over New Girl. I really loved it at first and Jess’ quirkiness was so cute, but now I feel like it’s too much and I’m just on quirkiness overload!
Also, I’ve already got so many other Tuesday night shows to watch like Cougar Town and RHOC.
Sorry rest of America!
Technically she is no longer “new” right?
I’m with you , New Girl was great when she was the ‘new girl’.
Be careful. SuburBint loves New Girl because she is quirky like New Girl. If she were a bit more loose and did some crack, she would be just like Jess.
haha aww well I love SuburBint, and I do like the Jess character, I’m just tired of the show. I loved it at first but I don’t think it has the lasting power that it needs to keep viewers interested.
Jess is hardly “loose!” You really need to start reading my Jersey Shore recaps.
I am disturbingly similar to Jess in many ways, and I know for a fact that I can get annoying, LOL, so no worries. What I actually enjoy most about the show are her roommates — Jess is kind of embarassing to watch sometimes, epecially when MisterBint is sitting beside me going “You do that too!” — but the guys crack me up and carry much more of the show than I expected them to.
