Tuesday, March 6

Today is Ghana’s Independence Day; they were cut free from the British Empire 55 years ago.

The Biggest Loser (NBC 8pm) The contestants search for weight plates in a giant mud pit.

That opens up way too many pig jokes, and that’s just cruel. Have some class, NBC.

Raising Hope (Fox 8pm) When Sabrina is arrested after attending an Occupy Natesville protest, one of the jail attendants (Katy Perry) commits to making her imprisonment as awful as possible.

And also my Tuesday night.

Super Tuesday Primary Coverage (CNN, Fox News 8pm)

In case you’re into that sort of thing.

The River (ABC 9pm) The Magus crew finds Emmet’s camera bag containing tapes, leading it further into the Amazon; Lena reveals a secret.

Much badness ensues.

New Girl (Fox 9pm) When Jess learns that injured Nick doesn’t have insurance, she brings him to her friend — who is a gynecologist.

This is one of those shows that people either love or hate — I love it!

Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo 9pm) Tamra and Vicki are insulted by Slade’s jokes; Alexis worries about her upcoming nose surgery; Tamra’s Bunco Party hosts conflict.

Speaking of housewives….

Dance Moms (Lifetime 9pm) Episode: Topless Showgirls — Abby’s risqué tribute upsets the mothers.

I can’t imagine why.

Tabatha Takes Over (Bravo 10pm) Flavio Bisignano is ready to hand his failing 50 year old beauty school over to his daughter Tiana, but the teachers and students are uninspired.

This is why I’ve never gone to a beauty school to get my hair done.

Top Shot (The History Channel 10pm) One team holds an urgent meeting in an attempt to reconcile their differences; an ultra-modern, high-power crossbow that fires bolts at a stunning 350 feet per second; the perfect pistol.

“Ultra-modern crossbow” sounds like an oxymoron.

Ink Masters (Spike 10pm) Finale: The remaining artists tattoo anything they want on their obliging canvasses and a shocking twist ends the season.

“shocking twist” + “obliging canvasses” = reality TV gold

What will you be watching tonight?

About

After giving birth to her fourth child, SuburBint carefully weighed the options and decided that recapping reality TV was probably a better choice in the long run than alcoholism. Liver function tests have yet to confirm the wisdom of this decision. Being an honest-to-goodness recapper is also a dream come true, as she has aspired to do this ever since discovering that such a thing existed way back in 2002.

Her favorite shows of all time include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Coupling, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Firefly, Community, Parks and Recreation, Doctor Who, and Veronica Mars. She can also quote The Big Lebowski in its entirety, and will do so with little to no provocation.
