It’s J-Mo’s birthday weekend! Happy birthday, J-Mo! We love you!
Saturday, February 25
The Firm (NBC 9pm) The police release Mitch after clearing him as a suspect; Mitch visits Sarah in jail, but she won’t answer his questions; Ray finds a clue about Mitch’s pursuer; Tammy and Abby investigate a list left by Moxon.
Why, John Grisham? Why?
Being Human (BBC America 9pm) Season premiere: Annie, George and Tom struggle to live under-the-radar in a sleepy, seaside town.
The British version, for those of you who can’t get enough of the whole werewolf/ghost/vampire roommate drama.
My Big Redneck Vacation (CMT 9:30pm) Episode: The Clampets take Manhattan
It’s comforting to know that it’s not just people from New Jersey who are willing to exploit stereotypes about their region for our entertainment and edification.
48 Hours Mystery (CBS 10pm) From a Mexican prison, a former reality-TV producer accused of brutally murdering his wife discusses the case and his pre-trial hearing.
Has anybody been following this story? The guy was a producer on Survivor, one would think that he could have found a more exotic location for bumping off his wife.
An Idiot Abroad (The Science Channel 10pm) Route 66: Karl joins a high school choir, hangs out with new age therapists and does wing-walking.
Ricky Gervais I could do without, but Stephen Merchant is freaking hilarious. Also, I used to live just off of Route 66 in Flagstaff, AZ, and believe me, that whole region is filled to the brim with wackadoodles.
Wheatley was my favorite part of Portal 2
Sunday, February 26
The Amazing Race (CBS 8pm) While the teams race through Buenos Aires, Argentina, the stress causes one team to break down into tears; the racers go to the world’s largest cattle market.
The best thing about The Amazing Race is that it means Fran and Berry are back to recapping it. Also Fran is pregnant, so send lots of happy thoughts her way. Congratulations, you guys!
The 84th Annual Academy Awards (ABC 8:30pm)
Billy Crystal is hosting again! It might actually be worth watching this year.
Celebrity Apprentice (NBC 9pm) The teams are tasked with creating and performing an original Medieval Times show in front of an audience; one team struggles with an insubordinate player, while a serious injury threatens to derail the other team’s show.
I’m so hoping that the serious injury involves a morningstar and Teresa Giudice’s face.
The Walking Dead (AMC 9pm) Rick and Shane are in conflict over the fate of an outsider; Andrea helps Hershel’s daughter face a crucial decision.
This show actually makes me take comfort in the fact that, come the zombie apocalypse, I will almost certainly be among the zombies and not one of the survivors.
This is pretty much what I look like when I first wake up.
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (TCM 9:45) A Hollywood child-star has-been torments her famous sister, now in a wheelchair.Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Victor Buono, Marjorie Bennett, Anna Lee
This movie scared the shit out of me when I was twelve, and forever altered my relationship with my sister.
I know it’s already half over, but what are you watching this weekend?

OK, I have boycotted the Oscars for a very long time.
But this one time, during my boycott, my best friend recorded it and made me watch. And it just happened to be the one where Whoopie Goldberg hosted. And, I can’t believe that I am the only person in this world who thought that she did a good job.
Yes, the first few minutes or so were awkward and embarrassing – because the audience had no idea where she was going, but after that, the crowd seemed to get into it, and all of those stick up their asses celebrities let their hair down and truly laughed at her jokes.
Now, I didn’t watch any of the winners’ speeches that year (in fact I couldn’t even tell you who won that year), but I thought she was funny. I can’t be the only one.
I did, I did! Don’t watch the awards either. Way too boring for me. But I did watch some of the Whoopie one because I just love her. I watched just a bit ’cause I just can’t stay up that late. Anyway, when I read the reviews the next day I wondered what I had missed because I thought she was just being her own offbeat self.
I guess it’s the stick up their… attitudes that makes me prefer to catch at least some of the Apprentice tonight. At least those inflated egos are entertaining. And Tramp is soo awful he’s funny.
I’ll definitely be watching TWD tonight and would rather watch that awful comic book show with Kevin Smith that follows TWD than watch any part of the oscars. They might be a little bit bearable if they would just take that spoon out of their nose and the stick out of their ass for a few minutes.
The last time I watched the Oscars… actually, I don’t think I’ve ever watched the Oscars. I tried once, and after about five minutes I moved on to something else.
I did really enjoy the first episode of Celebrity Apprentice; I’ll watch it until Penn Jilette, George Takei, and Dee Snider are fired. I don’t care for anybody on the women’s team, and I really feel like the man’s team is going to kick their collective ass.
Yay, Happy Birthday J-Mo!
Happy Birthday, J-Mo! Many blessings!
