Thursday, February 16

Happy birthday, Geordi LaForge!

American Idol (Fox, 8pm) The judges continue to narrow down the contestants.

You know what would make this show so much better? Not being on EVERY. FREAKING. NIGHT.

The Vampire Diaries (CW, 8pm) Elijah (Daniel Gillies) presents Stefan and Damon with an ultimatum that puts Elena in danger.

Whatever will they do?! Five bucks says there’s brooding involved.

Parks and Recreation (NBC, 8:30pm) Leslie and Ben run into Leslie’s ex (Louis C.K.) while soliciting an endorsement from the Chief of Police; Andy leads the search for a campaign theme song.

I can’t be snarky about this show, because I love it so very, very much. I just want you to watch it.

Or I will send Ron Swanson after you.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC, 9pm) Episode: Have You Seen Me Lately?

Nope, and I’m not planning to either.

Person of Interest (CBS, 9pm) Reese infiltrates a smuggling ring in pursuit of the latest person of interest.

Jesus saves.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Bravo, 9pm) The Lost Footage: Jaw dropping clips from the cutting room floor including the Malibu Beach Party fight.

Just in case you didn’t hate those crazy bitches enough already.

Swamp People (The History Channel, 9pm) Troy takes the Gator Tail to an old family honey hole; Junior and his son stalk an elusive beast known for his roar; Liz and her partner Kristie take a calculated risk; R.J. and Jay Paul spy outsiders setting lines directly across from theirs.

You got a purty mouth.

Project Runway (Lifetime, 9pm) The designers are tasked with creating an outfit for the Broadway musical “Godspell.”

I can’t wait to see who takes the whole “lilies of the field” thing waaaaay too literally.

Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview (OWN, 9pm) In a 2009 interview, the singer discusses her marriage, drug abuse and retreating from the spotlight.

Oprah jumps aboard the “Tribute” train.

Jersey Shore (MTV 10pm) The roommates focus on their relationships; Roger takes issue with Jenni’s outfit.

The description is about 98% more interesting than the episode is going to be.

About

After giving birth to her fourth child, SuburBint carefully weighed the options and decided that recapping reality TV was probably a better choice in the long run than alcoholism. Liver function tests have yet to confirm the wisdom of this decision. Being an honest-to-goodness recapper is also a dream come true, as she has aspired to do this ever since discovering that such a thing existed way back in 2002.

Her favorite shows of all time include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Coupling, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Firefly, Community, Parks and Recreation, Doctor Who, and Veronica Mars. She can also quote The Big Lebowski in its entirety, and will do so with little to no provocation.

Parks n’ Rec is one of my favorite shows now. I usually watch late at night and keep getting yelled at for laughing too loud. Other favorites these days: New Girl and Portlandia, both of which just keep getting better and better.

Considering the size of Oprah, Gurlfriend better just clamber aboard the “tribute” train.

Wow. I sure pity whoever has to watch JS, much less recap it. But I hope the recap gets out fast ’cause it’s the best thing on tv. Love, SSC

^ I was going to say the same thing.
I would welcome him with open arms. And legs maybe.
