Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I just wish they would do the final elimination differently. Kevin won the most challenges and had more consistency. The only time he was on the bottom (besides last night, natch) was during Restaurant Wars. There should be some kind of consideration for winning the most often. No matter what, Kevin will be very successful…Did you know he and his wife split up right before the finale? No wonder he had an off night…
The thing that did Kevin in (besides the wife thing) was who he drew for his sous chefs. He got Preeti and Ash, while Michael got Jen and Eli. Jen and Eli came in fourth and fifth! Preeti was almost totally incompetent!
Hmmm.
Wow, Kev broke up with his wife? Maybe there is hope for JMo!
I completely agree with both bluzgirl and pixielated. If they would consider the over-all wins, both Bryan and Kevin deserved to win over Michael. Once again we have a douche as Top Chef!
Has Tom Coluccio put up an “explanation” of the results like he did last week?
I miswrote when I said that Michael got Eli and Jen. Actually he got Eli and Brian got Jen. Brian did best with the sous chefs, getting Jen (4th place) and Ashley, who was one of the better loser chefs IMO. Ash wasn’t bad but didn’t have the skills, and Preeti was just bad. Poor Kevin. I’m sure there are plenty of women (and men) who are ready to console him!
I had no idea about Kevin and his wife, so sad. His mom was absolutely adorable though. I agree, he got seriously boned by the names he drew. When it showed Preeti chopping I was amazed at how slow she was. I can chop faster than that! I hate to say it, but it seems she was cast moreso b/c she had all the minority factors playing for her (race, gender, sexuality) & not b/c of her talent. I was reeeaaally rooting for Michael to pull Robin. Too bad.
Haha … I was also for Michael pulling Robin, cansnuts. I thought since he said he’d slit his wrist with the same knife he’d pulled it would be a win-win for everyone.
Just kidding. I actually just read an interview on people that kind of made me think better of old Mikey …. Not enough to wish that Kevin had had his A game on. Hard to compete when your heart is at home w/ your skank of a future ex-wife.
Below is the interview:
Let’s talk about Kevin’s food. What did you mean when you called it simple?
The deal with Kevin’s food is it’s so understated when you see it. We never really ate each other’s food so when I sit there and I’m running all over the kitchen and I put together this crazy, artistic, beautiful dish, Kevin’s over there going through the motions. At first glance, I’m like, “Wow, wait a second, I know my food is better than that.” But then towards the end, the group got smaller and smaller, and I got to taste Kevin’s food and I have to say, it’s amazing. Kevin for sure deserved to be there in the end and was definitely a contender to win this competition. I mean, the guy’s a phenomenal cook.
What do you want people to know about you now as a person and chef?
Obviously as a chef you want to show them what you’re capable of: I’m an artist and I think I portrayed that. I cooked what I wanted to cook at the moment I wanted to cook it, and that’s me. As a person, people get to see a small fraction of who you really are. Get to know me a little better because there are probably some people out there who would mistake confidence for arrogance. I watched myself on the show too ” and I’m like, “Wow, that guy’s cocky. That guy’s kind of an a“hole.” But then I’m like, “Wait a second, that’s me.” So you see yourself in that scenario and I was watching it and thoroughly entertained and wondering what’s that guy going to say next.
