The Miss Universe Organization is now allowing transgender women to compete! This new policy comes off the heels of the Canadian contestant being disqualified for not a natural-born female. GLAAD and Donald Trump said in a statement, “(they are) pleased to announce that after more than two weeks of discussions, the Miss Universe Organization is close to finalizing an official policy change that will allow women who are transgender to participate in its beauty competitions.”

The Miss Universe Organization says this change is a push to support equality for women. The new policy will start this fall…

I think it’s great that they’re opening up the pageant to transgender women, but can I tell you what I’m most excited about besides playing “Opp or no Opp?” Is just thinking about the possibility of all the Drag Race contestants that can now compete!!! Yippee!!!!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I thought the idea of drag was it’s guys dressing up as girls, not guys who are trying to become girls? Hard to keep things straight (snrt!) these days.

Sigh. I really do miss Rock of Love.

Well, she certainly is a pretty girl. Must have taken a HECK of a lot of hormones.
Looking at her in the bathing suit you’d never know she wasn’t born female.

Drag is a man in women’s clothes, transgender is a woman in a man’s body. One is a look and the other is a feeling.

    Carmen Carrera is so there.

She won’t come out and say it, but I’m 99.9% sure she’s transitioning.

Well, she was transitioning before RPDR, and stopped…I imagine that she is, even now, back at it.
