TV Patrol: Jersey Meets Miami

Jersey Shore returns tonight for it’s 2nd season premiere on MTV at 10pm. The “guidos & guidettes” have migrated to South Beach, Miami & have taken employment at a place called “Lecca Lecca Gelato Caffe’”. Four hours a day & weekends off, so they have plenty of time for clubbing. The place is real & owner, Enzo Biondi says producers picked his place to showcase a store with authentic Italian roots. When asked what he thought of these crazy, orange-tanned kids from Jersey invading his place, he proclaimed that… “the only one who’s a real Italian is Vinny. He knows how to speak Italian, but not so well, but at least he understands it.” The gang will hang out down south for 12 episodes. Anyone excited?

Project Runway begins it’s 8th season tonight at 9pm, on Lifetime. This season the show stretches to 90 minutes so the fans can enjoy more “Tim Time”. With 17 contestants, to start things off, one will be eliminated after the first  quick challenge. With names like Casanova, Peaches, Ivy & Mondo, I’m sure there will be lots of over-reaction & drama to fill the extra 30 minutes… at least I hope so. If not, I can always DVR it & fast-forward.

On the Road with Austin & Santino is a brand new series following PR-8 at 10:30pm. They seem to have dumped that pointless Runway model show for this new “reality” show. Former, unforgettable Runway alumni Austin Scarlett & Santino Rice will travel the country designing chic designer dresses for the everyday women they meet. They will then wear the creation to a special event in their lives. Their motto: “Changing lives one outfit at a time!”

Of course, on CBS at 8pm, is the LIVE eviction of another houseguest on Big Brother 12. It’s between the Tammy Faye look-a-like, Officer Kathy & the Orthodox Jewish foot doctor, Andrew. Another Head of Household competition will follow after kicking one of them to the curb. I can’t wait to see what Julie Chen will be wearing tonight! So You Think You Can Dance on FOX at 9pm, is also LIVE tonight. Two of the six remaining dancers will go home. Now is when it starts to really hurt. Nigel’s back so we’ll have some snide & pompous remarks but I’m glad to see him, aren’t you? There will be performances by Christian TV & the dancers from the new movie Step Up 3-D.

Cellblock 6: Female Lock-Up on TLC at 10pm.

Penn & Teller’s Bullshit: Old People on Showtime at 10pm.

That’s about it, but that’s alot for one evening don’t ya think. I’m watching the Lifetime shows & BB12, of course.
