TV Patrol: Lily Dale on HBO!

No One Dies in Lily Dale airs tonight on HBO, at 9pm. This documentary by Steven Cantor, follows 3 different people as they travel to this tiny town, each searching for something different. Lily Dale is the largest center of mediums, spiritualists & healers in the world. I live 10 miles from there! Okay, so I’m bragging a bit. I just never thought I’d see this place on HBO. PBS….yes, but HBO… never. It’s been there since 1879. My sister spent one summer there as a housekeeper, getting things all cleaned up for the onslaught of tourists, the curious & those genuinely there for some sort of contact with the “other side”. She got a free reading! There are 40+ mediums who live there year round. No Allison DuBois though. If you like that kind of thing, check it out tonight. If you ever decide to go there, maybe we can meet up & have lunch. I know a great place just down the street.

The big break-up of Jake Pavelka & Vienna Girardi takes up most of The Bachelorette time tonight at 8pm. The fact that Jake dumped Ali on his show isn’t enough, now he’s crowding onto HER show for an interview with Chris Harrison about picking the wrong girl. Rumors are that Vienna was a cheater. I think Jake is really gay. Maybe we’ll find out the truth tonight. I hope Ali comes out & belts him one with a bouquet of rotten roses!

There’s a new episode of Persons Unknown on NBC, at 8pm. Don’t expect it on Monday nights much longer. It’s moving to the “dead zone” Saturdays on July 17th. This will be it’s second timeslot move…. a sure sign it won’t be around much longer. Last Comic Standing follows at 9pm.

For those of you who get the LOGO channel & love RuPaul, his new show RuPaul’s Drag U starts soon so LOGO will be showing a bunch of Drag Race til then, and repeat Drag Race: Untucked ( a behind the scenes of the show) tonight at 9:30 pm. He will reign over such Drag Race alumni as JujuBee, Ongina & Pandora Boxx, as they team up to make-over straight women in desperate need of a new, sexy look. It’s also a competition show, so expect there to be some drama too.

E! has new episodes of Kourtney & Khloe & Holly’s World at 10 & 10:30pm. I actually watched K&K’s show. It was the biggest waste of time IN MY LIFE!!! What an awful mess. I can’t believe this is even a show. It’s even too horrible to make fun of. That asshole boyfriend of Kourtney, Scott, is just too insufferable to be on my TV, let alone get paid for it. If her baby has his genes, she needs to leave it on the steps of a church. That kid hasn’t got a chance with this douchebag for a father. As for Khloe, she was trying to score a serial killer for her fake radio show. She ended up visiting a woman who had a slice of John Wayne Gacy’s brain in a zip-lock bag. Why didn’t she just go visit her dad’s buddy, O.J. Simpson in prison. I just kept wishing Khloe would get drunk.

A&E ‘s show Obsessed has taken over as my new “guilty pleasures” show. It airs after Intervention (which is also new at 9pm). It focuses on the lives of obsessive/compulsive disorders & is fascinating to watch. Last week I watched as therapists tried to help a man control his need to continuously clean himself & his environment & a woman who was on her treadmill 24/7. Tonight it’s a musician who needs to do a series of rituals, which takes hours, before every performance & a woman who is in constant fear of her child’s safety. Compelling TV right?

Dance Your Ass Off on Oxygen, at 10pm is all about Hip Hop, but not before the gang has to climb to the top of a huge building in LA. That’s the way to get that blood flowing.

ABC Family has done it again. It’s new show Huge, which airs tonight at 9pm, has managed to hit a nerve with the teen crowd. I watched it’s premiere last week & liked it too. If it continues it’s “real” attitude about overweight teens & not get all preachy, I think it will be a HUGE success (hahaha… no pun intended), If you haven’t watched it yet.
