NBC is calling it ALL COMEDY THURSDAY. From 8pm and right into what has always been known as 10pm drama-time, they will air half-hour sitcoms for our viewing pleasure. Will it work? It just might. Here is their line-up.

The night starts off at 8pm with Joel McHale and Community. Shirley’s husband is back in her life and he is none other than Malcohm-Jamal Warner.

At 8:30pm, it’s the new series Perfect Couples. Three to be exact. Of course each couple is at a different point in their relationship. Seems to be a sitcom trend these days. Kyle Bornheimer and Olivia Munn are two of the stars but are not couples.

The Office takes the 9pm timeslot. The staff share their New Years resolutions and Andy gets tutored in the art of picking up women.

Parks and Recreation returns at 9:30pm for it’s 3rd season, after being gone for 5.5 months! State auditor Rob Lowe is still around and Leslie, with the help of Ann, is trying to persuade him to give the department more money.

30 Rock moves to the 10pm spot with Outsourced at 10:30pm. They will be up against The Mentalist (CBS) and a repeat of Private Practice (ABC). Will you change the channel at 10pm? Or will your DVR work some magic?

Fairly-Legal-13-550x431

The award for longest cliffhanger ever goes to Royal Pains whichreturns tonight at 9pm (USA Network) and where we get to find out if Henry Winkler survived his heart attack.

It’s followed at 10pm by the premiere of the new series, Fairly Legal. Sarah Shahi stars as Kate, lawyer turned mediator, who has just inherited her dead dad’s law firm and all of it’s problems. Being a MEDIATOR, thus the title and the premise, she has to deal with these matter in a fair and justifiable way…. zzzzzzzzzz. Sorry, I’m sure there is drama in there somewhere.

A President to Remember: In the Company of John F. Kennedy is a documentary airing tonight at 9pm on HBO. Narrated by Alec Baldwin, it follows the filmmaker Robert Drew and his unprecedented access to Kennedy during his campaign, time in office and right up to his assassination.

Oh jut a few more things:

Real Housewives of Beaverly Hills has it’s first season finale tonight at 9pm on BRAVO. I think Frasier is going to ask Camille for a divorce, but it’s just a rumor! (wink, wink)

Ricky Gervais is the guest on Piers Morgan Tonight at 9pm on CNN. It will be interesting to listen to these two snobby British bastards go on and on about us Yanks, especially after all the fuss over Ricky’s Golden Globes remarks.

As long as they keep ‘Outsourced’ around, I’ll be happy. Don’t really care about the rest of them.

“Real Housewives of Beaverly Hills”– I don’t know if that was an intentional joke or not, but either way, it made me laugh. Thanks!

Yeah, it should be “Comedy Night Done Right . . . Until 10:30/9:30 central.” I’m glad Outsourced is last, that way I can just shut off the tv for the night. ‘Bout damn time Parks & Recreation — a.k.a. the funniest damn show on tv — came back.

Why are these guys up against Real Housewives and Jersey Shore? It’s too hard…I can’t choose. While the reality shows aren’t intentional comedies, they still make me laugh. Decisions, decisions..
