TV Patrol: NFL’s Jimmy Johnson on Survivor?

It seems that former Dallas Cowboy Coach Jimmy Johnson will be one of the castaways on the new season of  Survivor: Nicaragua which premieres this fall on CBS. The coach has a passion for the show & tried out for Survivor: Gabon two years ago, but failed the physical. Since then he’s lost a few pounds & is back for another go at it. The man’s 67 years old & certainly doesn’t need the money… right? I predict that he & his hair don’t last a week.

Tonight Big Brother is LIVE at 8pm, on CBS. With the “saboteur” gone in the very first week, what do the producers have in store for us now? I’m hoping we find out a new twist, like bringing back Jessie from BB10 & 11. Wouldn’t that be awesome!

So You Think You Can Dance, on FOX at 9pm, is also LIVE. Only 6 dancers left & one will be sent packin’ tonight. Enrique Iglesias & rapper Pitbull will perform.

The new series Rookie Blues is on ABC at 9pm. I made fun of this show for all the “pretty” people on it, but I’ve faithfully watched it every week. The drama is not gritty, but it’s not all fluff either.

A new episode of the real reality show Boston Med follows at 10pm. This is too real for me to handle. Watching people in crisis, no matter what the outcome, upsets the hell outta me. Besides, I like my blood fake.

Bill Kurtis, the man who delves into all the crimes on TV, is telling us all about Manson: The Notorious Crime & Trial on A&E at 10pm. We know the story already, but we haven’t heard it from Bill yet. Just his voice is enough to make me watch.

BRAVO has Bethenny Getting Married? at 10pm. I guess Bethenny is getting ready to have a baby & is “rushed” to the hospital! Oh MY! I can’t believe people really watch this show. But what do I know?

If you’re looking for a good movie, TCM has The Courtship of Andy Hardy (1942) with Mickey Rooney in his most popular role as Andy. No Judy Garland in this one. It’s Donna Reed as his prom date/bride!
