TV Patrol: No Ordinary Tuesday

The fall season is well underway & the debuts & premieres have almost all aired. There are a few new & returning shows still coming, but much more sporadically now. In October there will be less of the network’s shows & the cable channels will start their new season. Shows like Mythbusters & Dirty Jobs will begin anew. As for tonight… here’s what’s up…..

8pm:

No Ordinary Family (ABC) This series debut is a little different. The Powells, Jim & Stephanie (played by Michael Chiklis & Julie Benz) decide the family needs a change. Jim decides a family vacation to the Amazon River is just the ticket. The “change” come when the plane crashes in the mighty river. Lo & behold… not only are they not hurt… but they have super-powers! Dad has super strength. Mom’s got super speed. Daughter Daphne (16) is telepathic & son JJ (14) goes from learning disabled to super genius. Holy “The Incredibles” Batman!… sounds like a huge hit… or a total bomb. Let me know what you think.

Inside the Actor’s Studio (Bravo) Tonight James Lipton interviews Icon Betty White. It seems she’s spread herself thin these days. Maybe she’ll tell us why & when will she finally retire. I’m just interested in what her favorite swear words are.

Glee (FOX) The season premiere was last week, but I’m just giving you a heads-up on tonight’s episode. It’s Britney Spears night & she’s actually going to make an appearance. I don’t know about you… but I’m excited. Some Britney tunes will be awesome! Oh yeh… John Stamos is also on the show.

9pm:

Stargate Universe (Syfy) “Intervention” is the name of this season #2 opener. Lt. Johanson is critically injured & delusional, dreaming of a rustic life with her baby. Rush is trying to figure out a way to use radiation to deter the Lucian Alliance, thus forcing them to cede control of Destiny.

10pm:

The Good Wife (CBS) Season #2 has Alicia trying to decide if she still WANTS to be a “good wife” & stay with the old man & help him with his polical career or dump him for a newer model, in this case handsome hunky Will.
