TV Patrol: Reality Winterland!

It’s gettin’ cold outside, so let’s hunker down for a long winter nap in front of the TV and watch what the networks think “reality” should be……

Hard reality has hit TLC with their new show D.U.I. which started this past week. They’re tapping into some of their more wholesome fan favorites, who already have DUI’s, to attract viewers. NBC has decided to shake the dust off Fear Factor and give it another shot. Even Joe Rogan’s going to host again. He’s even promised not to call the show boring this time. Storage Wars has spun right off to Texas, so now we can see just what those crazy hoarders hide in their sheds too. It’s called, you guessed it, Storage Wars: Texas!

I’m personally excited about Mama Drama on VH1. I haven’t seen a good, solid drama on this channel since Bret Michael’s Rock of Love series. Let’s hope this show has all the right charm. I was all excited about the Project Runway All-Stars. That is, until I learned there will be no Heidi, no Tim Gunn, no Nina & no Michael Kors! WTF?! Clones, they are using clones! It just won’t be the same.

There ya have it kids. Enough reality to tide you over until spring. Then we start the cycle all over again. Another Survivor and Dancing With the Stars will be back too. Amazing Race is filming right now with Big Brother 13 winner Rachel and her man Brendon as a team. I’m sure that will also be back for the spring season. Till then, keep warm.
