Thanksgiving is over & we have all survived Black Friday, now it’s time to sit back & watch the parade of holiday shows filled with, no less then 11 commercials per break ( & let’s not forget those adorable screen pop-ups during the broadcasts!). There is one good thing about this time of year… it’s the Winter Season Premieres. The clunkers have been or are being canceled and it’s now time to try out some new stuff & to also bring in the second line up. In the next few weeks I will be giving you guys some heads-up on some of the more interesting new premieres & also when some of your favorites will be returning. I will also be throwing in some “holiday cheer” as well.

The first holiday movie is November Christmas which airs this Sunday (11/28) at 9pm, on CBS. It stars Sam Elliott (which is reason enough to watch it) & John Corbett. It revolves around an adorable 8yr old girl with a terminal illness. Because of this, the townsfolk decide to combine her holidays so she can celebrate them all. I give this a 4 tissue box rating….. a real tear-jerker

I think the ornament says it all…. also on the show performing will be Reba, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, LeAnne Rimes & Darius Tucker.

Tuesday (11/30) the networks really get into the holiday swing of things. ABC brings out my all time favorite, the Dr. Seuss 1966 classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas, at 8pm. It’s followed by Shrek the Halls at 8:30pm. CBS airs another classic, the 1964 animated Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at 8pm. NBC spends the night lighting the huge-ass “Holiday” tree at Rockerfeller Center in downtown Manhattan, where all the rich people live. Wouldn’t it be awesome if it caught on fire & went up in flames…. or better yet… it tipped over & fell on the Kardashians or the Real Housewives of one of those cities while they were filming one of their “reality” shows!…. or it hit the Jersey Shore! Ok… I went too far….
CBS decides to step away from the holiday theme later on at 10pm…..

YEP…. it’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show! Lots & lots of lingerie & half-naked girls parading up & down the runway for an hour, Katy Perry joins them for all the fun.

THIS IS IT! TOP CHEF ALL-STARS! & it’s season premiere starts this Wednesday (12/1) at 10pm on BRAVO. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. With 18 cheftestants, it should be a real madhouse in the kitchen. I remember quite a few of them, like Fabio of course, who could forget him. Then there’s Dale & Carla, Spike, Marcel, Tre, Mike & Elia. The rest I’ll have to have them refresh my memory with their actions in the kitchen. Thankfully, J-Mo is returning as our recapper. I just can’t see anyone else at the helm.

The series premiere of Storage Wars also begins on Wednesday (12/1) at 10pm on A&E with back to back episodes. This reality-based show follows dealers who bid & buy storage units which have been put up for sale for lack of payment by the renters of the units. Hoping to find hidden treasures & items worth much more than they’ve paid for them, things can get nasty… thus the WAR title.

Thursday (12/2) ABC will air the Fred Astaire/Mickey Rooney animated classic Santa Clause is Coming to Town at 8pm. That’s all the holiday cheer I see for the rest of the week in primetime. If you really need a festive fix, you can alway switch over to ABCFamily. They are continuing to run nonstop holiday-themed movies & TV shows right up until Christmas day. The Hallmark Channel never disappoints either. I will check in with everyone next weekend.
If you like it, spread it!:

I was a huge Elia fan on Top Chef, Season 2, so I’m picking her as my dark horse to win.
I love dying kids at Christmas time. Creepy CGI lips on talking puppies also gets me in the mood to hang mistletoe. Bitchy big city girls/boys returning to Coyote Fuck, Utah, to remember how to be human beings and fall in chaste love also says Feliz Navidas on my TV. This is the year I get one of those Yule Log DVDs. And watch my copy of Grinch, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and the one with the clock and those mice on DVD and sidestep the Zales commercials alto-fucking-gether.
