TV Spoiler: Did You Hear What I Heard?

My new “favorite” show in the whole wide world is Once Upon A Time. It airs on Sunday nights at 8pm on ABC. Anything I can find out about this show is a plus. I DID find out a few interesting tidbits.

The March 25th episode will take us away from Storybrooke to Wonderland, as in Alice’s place of residence. Some crazy guy whose obsession with HATS is going to kidnap Emma and, of course, Regina has something to do with the whole thing. She has hired a familiar “man of magic” to help her steal something she wants from the Queen of Hearts. I can’t wait to see who will play her!

In other Once Upon A Time news, the cast and creators met this past Sunday at a PaleyFest event to dish out some hints on future storylines. Psychiatrist Archie Hopper, aka Jiminy Cricket, will be getting a couple of new patients. David/Prince Charming feels he needs therapy now that his wife Kathyrn/Abigail has disappeared into thin air and it’s all his fault. Poor guy just can’t understand why he has such a hard-on for Mary Margaret/Snow White? The other new client will be the notorious Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin. His only reason for seeing Archie is “I have no one else to talk to.”

Some other teasers: even though Sheriff Graham is deader than a door-nail from his crushed heart in Story Brooke, he is still very much alive and well as the Huntsman in Fairytale Land. “True Love’s Kiss” and “All Magic Comes With a Price” are the two main themes of the show and these two things factor into breaking the Evil Queen’s curse. The only person who can leave Story Brooke without any consequences is Henry.

Lastly, season 2 will see more of Disney’s princesses, including the little Mermaid Ariel and her nemesis Ursula.

Nielson Ratings for the week ending Feb.27th:

1. American Idol (Thur.) FOX  18.5mil…. Hoping for another J-Lo nipple sighting?

2. NCIS CBS 18.2mil…. Old people still rule the air waves!

3. American Idol (Wed.) FOX 17.2mil…. Final 13? Gawd that’s a long way to a Final anything!

4. American Idol (Tue.) FOX 16.1mil…. seriously, would you buy a record from any one of them?

5. NCIS: LA CBS 15.9mil…. LL Cool J is yummy to grandma!

6. The Voice NBC 14.9mil…. It’s those drama queen judges!

7. NASCAR: Daytona 500 FOX 13.7mil… the girl screwed it all up for the guys and everybody saw it!

8a. Criminal Minds CBS 12.5mil…. old people watch too much TV.

8b. NASCAR: Daytona Red Flag FOX 12.5mil…. maybe that girl won’t come back next year.

9. Two and a Half Men CBS 11.9mil….. can’t believe anyone even watches this!

10. Modern Family ABC 11.6mil…. the secrets of female “monstrating.”!

You’ve heard here that FOX has axed Terra Nova. It wasn’t even on the “so-called” cancellation list. It was simple mathematics though. The show was just too frickin’ expensive and the hell of it was… it didn’t look it! Terra Nova is officially the 11th show cancelled this season. Here is a reminder of the other “Top Ten”.

1. How To Be a Gentleman CBS

2. Charlie’s Angels ABC

3. Playboy Club NBC

4. Free Agents NBC

5. Work It ABC

6. Allen Gregory FOX

7. Man Up ABC

8. The Firm NBC

9. Pan Am ABC

10. Prime Suspect NBC

Body of Proof(ABC), Harry’s Law(NBC), and A Gifted Man(CBS) all have their heads on the chopping block. Nine shows have such low ratings that the actors are looking for work elsewhere because the news of another season is VERY unlikely. Those shows are:

The River ABC

Unforgettable CBS

Heart of Dixie CW

Ringer CW

Alcatraz FOX

Fringe FOX

I Hate My Teenage Daughter FOX

The Finder FOX

Are You There, Chelsea? NBC

Shows that are “on the bubble” as they say in TVland, are the ones that we, as fans, really worry about. They are the ones we usually really love and have an investment in, but have fallen in the ratings OR they’ve been moved around from timeslot to timeslot and now we can’t find them anymore. The networks decide whether it’s worth it to keep these shows or just ditch ‘em and move on. Terra Nova was on this list. Some of the shows on this list are:

Community NBC

Cougar Town ABC

Raising Hope FOX

Gossip Girl CW

The Good Wife CBS

Surprisingly, Awake(NBC) and Touch(FOX) are also on this list. They have each only aired one episode each and both had good ratings.

Are there any shows that you are worried about? Do you prefer cable shows and reality TV these days? Are sitcoms a thing of the past and should they just be something we watch on Nick at Nite and TVLand?

All the people I know who watch NCIS and Criminal Minds are between 20 and 50…not exactly old.

Once Upon A Time is so wonderful. I enjoy both story lines and am fascinated by the costume design. The EQ has had some especially fabulous outfits. If they are going into more Disney princesses, it would be fun to see Maleficent give EQ a little competition. I wonder how EQ and Ursula will get along. And I thought that the Huntsman was killed along with Sheriff Graham because we haven’t seen him since the the heart incident.

I like that there will be another mermaid! I wonder if Ursula will offer her that feed against voice – deal or if Rumpelstiltskin will…

Mr Gold has no one to talk to—I am laughing– I love him so much and just just see in my head how he will say it. And am on pins and needles till I see Sheriff McHottiePants again !!!!

The fact that people are still watching Two and a Half Men amazes me.

@Jessesgirlie, it lifts the gloom of their twilight existence and distracts them from awareness of the gaping tomb which awaits them.
