The UK is coming out with their own version of The Jersey Shore, set in Newcastle called Geordie Shore. Ha! I just watched the trailer and it looks like a bad spoof of The Jersey Shore, but in a way I’m kind of obsessed. I would love to watch Jersey Shore with Brits–the accents alone kill me. Sophie looks like the Snooki of the house, doesn’t she? Her line, “I can talk the back legs off a donkey,” is priceless.

Here’s the Geordie Shore trailer:

Here are pictures of the house. I hope we can get the show online here. I’m kind of obsessed.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Yeah it looks just like Jersey Shore even the background used in the promo is the same. Well the UK does have MTV. So why not? I wonder if there’s a British version of hulu to watch it on.

It’s going to be on MTV UK. I don’t watch Jersey Shore, but I would totally watch this. Everyone who always says that British TV is more cerebral than American TV can suck it now. Suck it!

Sarcasatire — according to this site, they’ll be shooting this spring and are still looking for a channel on which to air it. So, I’m not sure what’s up with it. http://www.lake-shore.ca/aboutnew.html

People think British tv is more cerebral because those are the shows that seem to make it across the pond. But they have shows here that are crazy. For example, the following:
–Farm of Fussy Eaters – Adults who have crazy diets, like the guy who will only eat cheese and bread and only certain cheese and bread. His family once went on vacation to Greece and his grandparents had to fly out to bring him british bread and cheese because he was starving. Then there was the guy who only ate chips (french fries) and ONLY if they were made from Maris Piper potatoes. And the woman who had never eaten a vegetable in her life and was scared of tomatoes. Etc.
–The Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses – people have conditions like sweating too much or farting too much or nervousness or eye twitch or whatever and they cure them by putting them on a diet of nothing but herbs and then giving them colon cleansers. Then they make them ANALyze the “plaque” that comes out of their ass.

I couldn’t make this stuff up! LOL!

Oh one other thing about British tv… You know how they have “prime time” in the states and it gets a little bit racier after 9 pm or so? Well here they call it the “watershed” and after that time, basically anything goes. On regular tv, you will get language like “fuck” and, in some cases, soft core porn. They don’t need Skinimax here! :D
