VH1 announced it’s renewals, and guess what they’re reviving? Pop Up Video!

Remember this show?

Other shows they’re bringing back are Behind The Music, Mob Wives, Love & Hip Hop. This is all very exciting news. I loved Pop Up Video growing up…why the hell wouldn’t they do it again? They have all the music videos in their library, and it costs practially nothing to add graphics to an already existing video. It’s a no-brainer. The new Pop Up Video will be updated, and more interactive–such as having user generated pop-up content, polls, etc.

All I have to say to that is: Good times.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Love “Love and Hip-Hop” and Pop Up Video, though I really don’t watch music videos anymore…

Hopefully Behind the Music will go back to its roots. I’m hoping we don’t get a E! True Hollywood Story Publicity friendly fluff piece. I remember when they used to really dig in and give you the dirt and now it’s just how much everyone loves and enjoys working with him/her. They even started recycling “how they made it” stories

YAY! I am so excited. Back when I had to sneak my VH1 fix, I used to love that show. (My dad was a pastor so MTV and VH1 were off-limits.) I always found it interesting finding out about the behind-the-scenes stuff.

I guess that means VH1 is going to show music videos again. They play them was more than MTV but not nearly enough. At least they are heading more in the right direction.

I hope they don’t bring back Audrina or Saddle Ranch. Behind the Music used to be good when they used to dig deep and profile artists with long careers. Not one hit wonders.

I fahhhckin’ loved Pop Up Video! I hope they don’t sh!t on it.

My favorite pop up was on the video “Legend of a Cowgirl” by Imani Coppola back in ’97. The pop up said “An anagram of Imani Coppola is ‘I poop in a clam’.” Classic!
