lindsay lohan jail

Wow, this little girls is so screwed, this 90-day sentence is exactly what she needs to get her ass in shape. I love Lindsay’s reaction when the judge rattles off everything she’s done…she looks so surprised! Now, that’s acting!

Who knows, maybe she can straighten herself out, and make a new name for herself after serving some hard time…stranger things have happened.

Here’s Lindsay’s plea to the judge:

And here’s the judge giving Lindsay her sentence:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Serving “hard time”? Hardly. It’s only “hard time” in comparison to her usually pampered lifestyle. She’s not going in with hardened criminals…and you know she’ll be treated more kindly than most inmates. Plus, when she comes out, she’ll do the talk show circuit.

Too bad the judge can’t sentence the girl to stay away from cameras and microphones for a decade or so.

Did a little research. According to prison officials, because of Lohan’s “status” she will be kept away from the general population…and because of of jail over-crowding, she will probably serve less than a week, possibly even just hours.

    Yeah…hard time.

By the way, did you catch the close up photo of Lohan’s fingernails that she made sure to flash at the judge? Tiny print with a special message for the magistrate and the court system.

Yeah…she was REALLY remorseful. (My eyes are rolling with sarcasm.)

But she was in Morocco working with children? Give me a break.

I heard she will serve a 1/4 of her sentence, if that.

she’s ridic. I really do hope she serves most of her sentence, and they don’t let her off. if it becomes a paris hilton less than 24 hours deal, i will put money, that she’ll spiral in the next few months. put her away for a while, no one can control her.

This kid is one sick puppy. She needs 2 years in lock-down rehab with no jail time, and a court mandated restraining order against BOTH parents with a court-appointed, non-relative conservator.

Her parents need to also be banned from talking about her to the press, and cut off from her money sources. The rest of the kids, including her sister Ali, need to be evaluated by CPS and have legal guardians appointed. Her entire family is corrupted by fame and money, and is morally bankrupt when it comes to their kids.

There should be legislation written to protect child stars; their money should be held in conservatorship until they are 21 and their families should not be able to receive any money without having to undergo some kind of vetting process. No family members should be allowed to manage or represent their kids professionally unless they are deemed to be qualified as such, and are willing to adhere to a strict ethical policy that limits their financial gain.

Also, I don’t understand how stars like Brittany, Lindsay, etc., come to support 40 or 50 people FULL-TIME. I get the necessity of a legal team, security needs and and an operations staff to keep the business end moving forward, but these entourages are ridiculous, especially when they are not actively working. Older stars don’t seem to have these needs, it seems like these girls can’t get the help they need because too many people are relying on them as a source of income – then when the shit hits the fan, everyone fades away and writes or sells “insider” accounts of their private lives. I think any money made off of exploiting celebrities like that should have a big percentage automatically deducted and kicked directly back to the celebrity.

The whole Perez Hilton, paparazzi vulture-culture is getting to the point that instead of bearing witness and providing social-commentary on pop-cultural events and personalities – they are actually becoming driving forces in creating the events, personalities, and story lines. I’m tired of the media telling me who’s relevant and morally superior, I’d like to determine that for myself – at least when you read an article or saw an interview with a star back in the “old days”, you actually got an idea of who they were, how they lived and what was important to them – you connected to them as people, not self-destructing train wrecks you couldn’t stop watching.

Cheez, I’m surprised you had an opinion on this – wink, kiss, hug :) , but, as usual, you are correct sir! There has got to be a facility in one of the under-visited states that the Lindsay’s of this nation can be sent to recouperate.

Still, I enjoyed the court room video as one of her finest acting gigs.

    LOL!! I know, right?!? I’m usually such a wallflower… ;)

And I agree, she hasn’t acted that well… well, ever IMO! LOL, I just read that her little fingernail message may come back and bite her in the ass in the form of more time, more charges, or both…

    Love ya, shanti! :D

I actually feel sorry for her. Especially after watching some of that horrible show with her mother and kid sister.

It must really really suck to be her. No wonder she’s always getting into trouble.

It was really original, it said “F*ck You”.

LOL. I feel sorry for her too, but she needs to have some accountability and self-recognition or she’s going to go the way of Dana Plato, and the other child stars who ended up broke and six feet under.

I watched the latter half of the court room case (yes, I have no life). I felt sorry for her until the judge “re-capped” the original charges. Now I think she needs a longer jail sentence. I have no tolerance for under the influence driving (twice the legal limit). And she was doing it twice! They gave her an easy sentence the first go around (probation, go to some classes, don’t drive). She wouldn’t complete it on time, repeatedly dissing it. She deserves the jail time.

I wonder if she’ll run into the “Pretty Wild” girl who robbed her house?

I don’t feel sorry for her. Did she get a raw deal with her parents? Sure. They are complete pieces of sh*t. They take narcissism to entirely new levels.

But guess what so do other people. And when they break they law…no one feels sorry for them. There are countless people in prison who were given a crap lot in life and I doubt too many people are singing the “oh poor thing” for them.

She broke the law not once, not twice…over and over again. She took the safety of others for granted. What if she hit a car and killed someone instead of a parked car?

She had the world a her feet and she pissed it all away. I personally didn’t believe her little performance. I really think she thought she would walk. She did multiple things that are strongly advised against in terms of the SCRAM around her ankle (there are numerous things that could case difficulty, and she did what she wanted to do). She did not take the probation terms seriously…she was out partying night after night. She is an addict and isn’t ready to admit it yet. Until she is…no one can help her.

I agree with you in a way Honeybee, but I think the extended rehab should come first – then she should serve her full sentence. She doesn’t even fully appreciate the seriousness of these charges, ideally I think she should serve her time as an adjunct to her enforced sobriety. Jail didn’t work for Robert Downey, Jr the first time either – it took sobriety for him to genuinely appreciate the impact of his actions on others, and I think that’s part of what keeps him sober now.

I also see your point about how a lot of people grow up with Narcissistic parents, and in theory I agree with you 100%, at some point you have to assume some accountability for your own actions. In practice though, the Lohan’s are using Lindsay to live off of and one of the effects of that dynamic is that they shield her from consequences, or threat of consequences. So unlike most kids who can set boundaries and limits when they reach legal age and strike out on their own, she’s held captive to a form of financial and emotional blackmail which is why she continues to support them all, and why her mother parties WITH her instead of demanding compliance with the legal mandates she is given. Martin Sheen did it right with his son, Charlie. When Charlie refused to adhere to his program commitments, Martin called the police on his kid. Charlie was an adult, but his father felt enough responsibility and fear for his son that he did the unthinkable – he blew him in to the police. He didn’t give a damn if Charlie LIKED him, and he sure as hell wouldn’t have gone out drinking with him, he wanted the kid to get his shit together so he could have a life.

Lindsay needs to take responsibility for her actions, and she clearly has a drug problem that makes her dangerous and unpredictable. No question, she’s out of control so society has to control her – but I hold her parents just as responsible. Dina Lohan continued to lie about her SCRAM bracelet, and expressed outrage at her sentence – what that tells me is that Dina LIKES it when Lindsay is acting out because Lindsay is a lot more controllable (and so is her money) when she’s fucking up, than when she’s paying attention to the business of her life. Dina and Michael Lohan are just professional grifters who pimp out their own kids for personal gain.

Lindsay may be an addict, but she has mental problems too. An enforced rehab might be the thing that opens the door in her brain as to WHY she’s an addict. At this point anything that will separate her from her family, and access to drugs and alcohol, can only be a good thing.

God, I’ve been on here all day – maybe I need to get a life too, or start drinking! LOL.

Cheez – No doubt that her parents are culpable, but Lindsay isn’t a 16 year old girl she’s 24. She is an adult. I agree that she behaves the way she does because of her parents. The thought that because of these parents…she should get pity or sympathy in her actions is atrocious.

I agree that she can’t choose her family and probably feels a sense of obligation to provide for them. I agree with you there. What I hope happens for her is that she has a moment of clarity during her in-patient treatment where she realizes that the people she lets into her life will directly impact the income.

Hell Drew Barrymore filed for legal emancipation in her teens due to the toxicity of her mother.

BUT this is something she is going to need to figure out and no-one can tell her. I think jail is the place for her because I don’t think that rehab will make her do anything. I think a nice hard slap of reality is what she needs.

The sad thing is unlike Robert Downey Jr, I don’t think she has a quarter of the talent he has. She must be a nightmare to insure for a film (if at all). She needs to do some serious soul searching and get her priorities straight. Otherwise I fear your Dana Plato connection is on the money.

Your probably right Honeybee. I guess I’ll concede your point because at the end of the day your point of view is a lot more balanced than mine, I think. If she had actually killed someone due to drinking and driving then there would be no question of culpability – so fair is fair and you’re right, she’s responsible for her actions.

I hope she does find that clarity, but I agree she needs to figure this out on her own.

Also true on Robert Downey Jr., he is much more talented she is – no comparison there at all!!! And he had terrible parenting as well, didn’t his dad get him high when he was like 6 years old? Mind boggling how some people raise kids…

**You’re = You are** **Your = Possesive** I actually know the difference, but my grammar is going to hell lately, if it turns out to be because of menopause I’m going to start drinking and not stop until it’s over.

Funny. Spelling and grammar seem to be something my crappy rural education denied me. I’m lucky I can read at all so no judgement from me.

In my life I have dealt with mental health issues, substance abuse issues, legal issues, parenting issues (all among friends, family and ex’s). So it’s a bit of a sore subject with me. I totally undersand where you are coming from. Part of me does feel bad that she has such sh*tty parents but then that is cancelled out by her total sense of entitlement.
