Remember when there was such a thing as UPN? I forgot until I went on the internets to search for this clip. I may have forgotten one of the baby tv sperms that made the current CW, but I will never forget Tyra Banks going apeshit on a model. LOL!! Enjoy, and leave your nominations for Memory Lane clips in the comments!

Someone should make “WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR U!” tee-shirts. Hood Tyra is an awesome Tyra, and this season was one of the better TM seasons. Other than Tyra unloading, that one model passed out and was saved from concussion by her heavy weave, that fake lesbian who married Johnny Fairplay had some skin disease that scared all the other girls, a girl get fatter and fatter as the season progressed, and probably the first time in Top Model history that it became obvious that they telegraphed winners based on storyline than actually crowning the actual winner. Good times.

My favorite part was how Tiffany snapped from being apologetic to “Bitch, please,” as soon as Tyra started yelling.

Yes, make the girl go through anger management then get mad because the girl learned to manage her anger then start yelling when the angry girl from a year earlier came out. And, of course, make it all about yourself. Oh, Tyty. Never change.

She doesn’t appear to be wearing any clothing in that 1st picture. She must have shed her clothing in a fit of rage. Is that from the era when she was considered “fat” Tyra?

@Derek Hazelton I can’t believe you of all people forgot that this season also includes, the wonderful moment of Brittany yelling shut up at Keenyah (I guess that’s spelled right, it was spelled some weird way).

Oh and why we’re talking about ANTM moments we can’t forget the redbull/granola bar fight.

LOL @sagittariuskim, I remember that fight in South Africa where they were at the Nelson Mandela prison and all Keenyah wanted to do was party/eat/whatever and Brittany awesomely shuts her down in the van and it kind of ends their friendship. Cycle 4 was awesome and perfectly cast and I’m still bitter Kahlen didn’t win. Thank god for Oxygen and their various weekend repeats of every season that ever aired. That’s the only reason I can remember all this shit. But that girl passing out and Johnny Fairplay’s wife/fake lesbian with the weird skin disease were events from that season that I remember most.

“DO YOU KNOW WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU!!!” Just because poor Tiffany had the audacity to not be crumble up in a corner because she was eliminated. I think I prefer this version of crazy Tyra as opposed to Modelland crazy Tyra. She’s just more fun.

Haha, TyTy is always SO painful to watch! She brings these skinny, sad little girls on year after year demanding eternal love and gratitude for the “opportunity” she’s giving them to achieve Z-list celebrity status (at best – let’s face it, NONE of these girls ever end up as supermodels) and then publicly humiliates them when they don’t show the proper fawning appreciation. She’s such an evil, deluded, egomaniacal asshole, and that’s pretty much the ONLY entertainment value in the show.

    And yet somehow…it’s enough.

P.S. I nominate ANY of Dr. Will’s antics from BB 2. All these years later and he still played the only perfect reality TV game I’ve ever seen. Every other “villain” since has ripped him off.

And maybe this is limited to American shows, but SuBo’s “I Dreamed a Dream” premiere on Britain’s Got Talent is still jaw-dropping.

For ANTM, the “you had SEX?” screeched over the phone is a persona favorite. Shandi made Kansas City proud.

I was shocked to see Sofie’s covergirl ad in the new People magazine. I think it was the first time I saw a “winner “actually in an ad.

The “pop up video” editing is fantastic!!! The “WTF” bubble that accompanied Tiffany’s neck roll was a stroke of pure genius. Followed by the “You go girl” from the peanut gallery. Hilarious!

Kahlen was effing ROBBED. Just like most of the ANTM runners-up (*cough* Allison and Laura *cough*). This meltdown is effing EPIC and was just the beginning of Tyra’s “pot ledom” “booty tooch” craziness that would rear its ugly head in later seasons. Oh, I’m sorry, CYCLES.

They just released Cycles 1 & 2 on DVD (FINALLY) and I snatched that shit up like a fat kid snatches up some pie. I love me some Shandi-phone-call-drama. “Honey?! HONEY?!?!?” And cycles 11, 12, and 15-18 are on Amazon on demand. I really hope they start releasing the rest of the cycles.

Oh my god how I love this cycle of ANTM ! Truelly a gift that kept on giving.
We had a crazy cat lady during the auditions, Rebecca fainting in front of the judging pannel, Tyra going apeshit on Tiffany, Michelle’s skin disease, Tyra making the girls pose in a coffin inside a freshly dugged grave hours after Kahlen lost her best friend, Keenyah gaining more and more weight and made to pose as an elephant during a photoshoot, and finally Tyra crowning the wrong girl for the fourth time in a row.
    Ah good times !
Thank you Tiffany for bringing crazy Tyra in the open… and of course for the 8 glorious words who got you sent home during cycle 3 : THAT BITCH POURED A BEER ON MY WEAVE !!!

Okay, look, I’m an ANTM freak. So I just want to point out that the prizes for the next cycle (Cycle 19 — “college edition”) totally suck when compared to the last, oh, I don’t know, 18 cycles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America%27s_Next_Top_Model,_Cycle_19

This show is jumping the shark with Cycle 19. I’ll probably watch it to see how much of a train-wreck it is, but without Mr. Jay, Ms. Jay, and the effing sexy Nigel Barker, I don’t see how it can survive, even with its effed up public voting and what-not.

Well, I saw Raina on a Dave and Busters national ad and Fo on a Lowes national ad so yeah, some of them are working as models. And I saw ‘petite’ Nicoles pictures all over Walgreens and CVS for Covergirl. Nicole is the only winner I’ve seen in any type of ad – the other winners mostly all disappear (or marry former Brady Bunch stars). And I also saw Carridee’s ad but she uses that medication so I suspect she’d be doing it no matter whether she won or not.

Without the Jays, I don’t think I’ll be watching anymore. Miss J was fabulous and Mr. Jays bitchiness was a sit to behold (behear? whatever).

Eva Pigford, excuse, Marcille, had an okay career. She didn’t get any big runway jobs because she’s pretty small but she has stayed in the spotlight a pretty long time. And she was engaged to super-fine Lance Gross, so there’s that. I saw her on a show or two and she was a judge on that Oxygen Hair Battle show last year. Plus Tocarra (from her season) had a lot of hosting duties on TV shows and stuck around for a bit. Yaya made it the silver screen…a few times. And I could’ve sworn I saw that girl Ann, who was obsessed with Eva, in a skincare commercial. I’d remember that nose anywhere.

I really wished Dani would’ve blown up. She was gorgeous but didn’t want to fix her gap-toothed smile, a few years before that came into style. So she faded into the background and a Vogue I received one or two months ago is chock full of gap-toothed waifs. Sooooooooooookeh!

Captain save-uh-ho! Thank you! I just now saw it on Hulu Plus and I was all, “Waaaaaaaaaait a second, isn’t that Raina?!” She should have won her cycle. ANYONE should have won over Krista. She just might be at the top of my Worst ANTM “Winners” Ever list. ‘s runner-up.

I also discovered that iTunes has Cycles 8-18 in their TV shows. Which means 2 things: 1.) The only cycles that one can’t get on DVD/Amazon on Demand/iTunes are 4-7 and 2.) Someone needs to buy me an Apple TV device IMMEDIATELY!!!

@!Hypno: Could HuluPlus have the missing seasons? If, so, you could watch on a Roku box, which start at about $49.99 http://www.roku.com

I have one and I stream Netflix and Crackle and Blip.tv and a bunch of other channels to my TV, most of them free. I believe HuluPlus is $8/month, but they do have a free trial, and who knows..you may get all your viewing done before the trial is up!

I do have a Roku! And I have Hulu Plus, which only has the last 5 episodes of the current cycle (boo!). I have Amazon On Demand on my Roku (love it), which has cycles 11, 12, 15-18, which I bought. And I own cycles 1-3 on DVD. I keep checking Amazon on demand for the other cycles, but no luck so far. I’m gonna break down and buy an Apple TV device in the upcoming months and that way when I purchase the cycles they have on iTunes, I can watch them on TV. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I should’ve known you were ahead of the game!! I only recently got my Roku last December after visiting a friend who had one. I was all excited about my show prospects and when I told him, he was all, yea, it’s great, and so is this Apple TV, I just picked up. Doh!! Technology passed me by. He has a Mac and iphone and the whole interface is cool..he used his iphone as a remote to scroll through itunes and stream movies on his Apple TV! It’s a cool device..I’m coveting it now myself..

How much do you love the Roku?! I love it. I want to marry it and have little Roku babies. Is it sad that literally the only reason I want Apple TV is to watch ANTM on my TV (my MacBook is like 5 years old and sadly, very slow)? *Sigh* My friend has one and it’s capable with Netflix as well, so it would kind of be a tad frivolous since I already have a Roku (which can do more than Apple TV), but I’m going to tell myself that I deserve good things (like ANTM) and just do it. :)

I love the Roku! My only complaint is why don’t they advertise?! They’d have a bajillion more customers if people only heard of them. Streaming your favorite show is a great reason to get Apple TV. Itunes has a great selection, and if I weren’t so cheap, I’d indulge more. They do have free pilot episodes of popular shows, so if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna lay back and find out why Justified is so…justified.
