In Touch reported that Whitney Port is packing up her bags, and moving back to L.A. She either simply missed L.A….or MTV probably ran out of story lines to make her look interesting. She’s so sweet, but she’s just not THAT compelling to watch. The Olivia/Elle storyline completely overpowered Whitney’s on her own show…poor girl.

But what does her move really mean? Are they officially canceling her show, or are they going to actually going to shoot her moving back to start her L.A. headquarters?

Personally, I think that her show got canceled and they just haven’t announced it yet. I mean MTV couldn’t possibly have two shows about fashion, and being a working girl, could they? Well…stupid question…they have 2 shows on Teen Moms…as I digress…

I guess I’ll be waiting for an official announcement on The City‘s status…

Welcome back to L.A., Whitney.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Why don’t they make a reality show about a cute, plucky Lebanese girl trying to grab the world by the tail?

Dear Lord, please let this be the last of Olivia Palermo I have to see on my TV. Unless she is getting bitch slapped by Erin. Amen.

She already did! She’s living with her sister Paige. BTW, did you see the photos from her Hawaii vacation with bf Ben (from The Buried Life)? Those two look so cute together!

If she were ever serious about fashion she should’ve just stayed in NYC regardless of cameras being there or not. She would have way more opportunities there and a mentor in Kelly. I know the City is just as fake as the Hills but I think the relationship between Whitney and Kelly was pretty genuine. I would love it if they continued the City and turned the premise into Erin finding new ways each week to make Olivia look like the idiot slacker that she is.

I’d be kind of sad if I couldn’t recap The City anymore. I’m assuming they’ve canceled the show. It never got the audience that The Hills had. If the show continues, this would be the third re-tooling of the show in that many seasons. That’s pretty insane. If they continue with Erin and Olivia, I’m in. But if they try to focus on Whitney, then I’ll be sorely disappointed. Whitney’s like tofu – you wouldn’t want her by herself; she has to be surrounded by tasty and flavorful people and events in order be interesting.

Interesting how neatly things were wrapped up in last season’s finale, though, with Roxy moving out and Whitney about to leave People’s Revolution . . .

Although, the last episode of season two was the highest rated in the show’s entire run (probably thanks to Erin and Olivia), so who knows what’s going to happen.
