Whitney’s Deadly Cocktail

Radar is reporting that Whitney had a bad pill cocktail of Valium, Xanax and alcohol in her system. A “source” told Radar, “Whitney had taken Valium, Xanax, and alcohol, which led to her death. The coroner is waiting on final toxicology results to determine which one of the three was the major contributing factor of her demise. The coroner will be closely examining Whitney’s blood alcohol content at the time she died as well. The sedatives and alcohol will almost certainly be the cause of death, and not drowning. Her heart stopped beating because her respiratory system was suppressed because of the anti-anxiety meds, and combined with the booze it probably happened very quickly before she was found partially submerged in the bathtub.”

Ugh, all doctors need to be investigated! They can’t just be shelling out pills to drug addicts. People are dying everyday because of prescription meds, and they’re deadly. I know Whitney had a substance abuse problem, but the doctors are to blame for prescribing these meds.

Poor Whitney…

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I agree Nads. How is it that the doctors keep prescribing people, famous or not drugs that they clearly do not need and there’s no shake down?

Lobbyists. That is why. Too many doctors. What you won’t give me, the one down the street will. Same with her having no “NO WHITNEY” people in her life. She would just get new ones who say “YES WHITNEY” all the time.

By golly, when I’m rich and famous, everybody around me will be “YES NWMTV” people. If I hear “NO NWMTV” just once, that’s somebody’s ass.

Le sigh…NWMTV post reminds me of the clip that Joel always used to show of Whitney on The Soup. “KISS MY ASS!!!” I laughed every time they showed it.

@classy- As a last tribute to her, they played that clip one final time at the end of this week’s The Soup. It was actually really sweet

You know, the sad part is that she probably OD’d due to her nerves. It’s no coincidence that she died a few hours before she was scheduled to open Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party. She was the main guest of honor and I can imagine she was quite nervous to be in the company of people she hadn’t seen in a while. People who were/are her peers, yet some now flashing side-eye and looking at her as drug-addicted has-been. She’d mentioned that she usually took a Xanax before a show to calm her nerves. And after being out the spotlight for so long, she felt nervous to be not just on stage, but having to rub elbows and have dinner with people who are still at the top of their game. Perhaps she felt a little intimidated. So she wanted to relax.. take a pill or two.. have a beer with her burger.. have a glass of champagne.. neck still feels tight.. take another pill.. take a nice, hot bath.. have another drink.. ooh, that feels better.. soooooooo much better… *loses consciousness*

Watching Brandi Glanville on RHoBH casually admit to popping Xanax while she was slurping a huge cocktail and Bravo showing her act all cute and loopy just shows how much pills and booze are mixed in our society. No one even blinked when Brandi said it..like, “Oh, that’s done all the time around here.”

Sarcas….she also said she wishes she could still roofie herself if that was still legal. We’re a nation of lab rats, it’s really tragic.

That’s a pretty pic of Whitney though. Nice way to remember her Nads. Thanks.

I’m surprised it wasn’t anything illegal that did her in. Xanax and Valium, on their own, are taken by people every day without causing any issues. Combined, yeah, that’s bad. And they shouldn’t be ever taken with alcohol. Maybe Whitney wasn’t taking the hard stuff anymore, but I’d bet you dollars to donuts she was still an alcoholic.

Were both drugs prescribed by the same doctor? Because a lot of people will get their scripts from different doctors and go to different pharmacies to get them filled. That way no one knows that they are taking both drugs. Drug addicts will always find a way to get what they want.

As a person who is a former drug addict AND now an employee in the medical field, this is SOOO frusterating. YOU CAN’T GIVE A DRUG ADDICT NARCOTICS!!!, as you said, Nads. If you did drugs (s/a CRACK), and quit doing them, YOU ARE GONNA HAVE ANXIETY!!! IT’S CALLED WITHDRAWL! I wake up with cravings TO THIS DAY! But ya know what my doc told me? DEAL WITH IT! I made the choice to abuse drugs, I made the choice to quit, and anxiety is part of the price I pay. And ya know what I’d do if a doc prescribed me Xanax for said cravings/anxiety? ABUSE THE SHIT OUT OF IT! Nuff said. Oh, and I guess people have forgotten that there are other meds out there for anxiety that are not narcotic.

You can’t blame the docs. For all we know, she had other people getting the prescriptions and giving her the pills or something. SHE is a grown woman who chose to drink and pop pills. How about putting some blame on her??
