Michael Gelman said that Live! is soiling it’s wild oats when it comes to finding a new co-host. He feels like the show is dating co-hosts for a while, and he’s loving it. He said, ”We’ve just scratched the surface of people out there. We have enjoyed a lot of people who have already co-hosted, and we’re bringing a bunch of them back for more `dates.’ But I’m not saying there’s a short list. Every day we come up with new ideas, and we get new revelations about who the new host should or shouldn’t be. The chemistry is key — and not just with Kelly, but with the audience and the staff and the format.”

The first round of callbacks are Jerry O’Connell, Dana Carvey, Seth Meyers and Michael Strahan. I love all four guys, but I think Jerry O’Connell might be the best fit out of the above names. He’s not diverse, but he’s cute, funny and he appeals to housewives. Plus, he has an “All-American boy,” thing going on, which is a good quality for a daytime talk show host. I know Jerry’s done a million things on TV and film, but to me he will forever be Andrew Clements from My Secret Identity. Remember that show??

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I heard today that Howie Mandell is the front runner. When is Hollywood going to stop pushing him on us?

“soiling”. LOL. (Not making fun. That was a good laugh.)

I know some people find him annoying, but I think Jay Mohr would be an interesting choice. He could provide just enough humor and snark like Regis; but I’ll bet he would be real and respectful with the more serious guests.
