Happy Everything, Gasmii!

For those of you who need a break from TV, You Tube has just released their top ten viewed videos of the year.

This doesn’t mean they are the best videos of the year, just the most watched. I took the liberty of checking them out for you:

#1 – Rebecca Black – Friday music video. Watched by 12,821,190 retards. Holy crap, that’s how many vapid teenagers are in this world?

Rebecca Black Don’t bother. Talentless and dumb.
Unless she gets naked in the end. I never made it that far.

#2 – Ultimate Dog Tease. Watched by 75,228,308 undefined species. I have to admit, I chuckled.

Ultimate Dog You want to watch? Yes? Yes? Yes!

#3 – Jack Sparrow music video featuring Michael Bolton. Watched by 60,670,937 SNL fans. Have never been a Bolton fan until now.

Bolton is brilliant Two words I never thought I would use to describe Michael Bolton:
Hot and Brilliant.
Who knew?

#4 – Talking Twin Babies Watched by 56,354,483 rabid IVF patients. Baby talk was never so inane and yet fascinating.

Twins talk No, it’s your turn to go on the left one this time.

#5 – Nyan Cat. Watched by 54,073,583 crackheads. There are no words to describe, much less understand the popularity.

Nyan Cat WTF?

#6 - Look At Me Now music video by KarmenMusic. Watched by 49,728,326 astounded rap lovers. It’s pretty darn awesome.

KarmenMusic You go, White Chocolate!

#7 – The Creep (feat. Nicki Minaj & John Waters) music video. Watched by another 48,562,705 SNL lovers. Frankly not funny.

The Creep Just truly creepy.

#8 – Maria Aragon – Born This Way (Cover) by Lady Gaga music video. Watched by 45,108,486 bored soles. For ten years old, she’s pretty amazing.

Girl sings Born This Way But not very exciting.

#9 – “The Force” Volkswagen commercial. Watched by 45,248,798 easily amused Europeans. Love the Vader costume.

The Force Despite the predictability, it’s still fun.

#10 – Cat Mom Hugs Baby Kitten video. Watched by 37,936,285 women on their period who just ran out of ice cream. Thank goodness at least there is one feel good pet video.

Cat Hug Oh, emotional sappy crap, how I love thee.

About

Luscious just got back from a one year backpacking trip around the world with her husband (TVgasm fill-in specialist, The Professor). She spends her days writing, knitting and sewing. She's only good at one of those hobbies, not saying which.  Her secret dream is to write romance novels and have critics say her brilliance is wasted on such a pointless genre. Also, she'd like to create a pair of pajamas for her niece where the sleeves actually work.

The first step to getting help is admitting that you have a problem…

Okay, I admit to watching #2, “Ultimate Dog Tease”, once a day and/or when I really need a laugh. It’s even gotten to the point at work that when someone is talking (or we’re in a meeting), the rest of us will say, “Yeah? Yeah?” in the dog’s voice.

And the more times you watch it, the sillier it gets.

I must admit the kitty hug received at least 500,000 of the views from me

“And then I gave it to the cat.”
    “AAAARRRUUUUUGGGHHHH. You’re kidding me.”

Rodel and I love that as much as “Charlie bit me”

I must not have the same interests as 99% of the world because I’ve only seen bits and pieces of the Rebecca Black and Baby Talking video, and none of the rest. “An-unlikely-person-or-child-covering-a-pop-star’s-song-but-it’s-been-done-so-much-it’s-become-likely” is not my thing. I got super excited about the Ultimate Dog Tease because I love animal videos, promptly went to watch and was horribly disappointed when it was a human voiceover.

Rebecca Black had 12 million – and Dog Tease has 75 million – perhaps you accidentally dropped a digit?

@Sheesh That Charlie video is hilarious. I would always play that when having a bad day.

Sadly I have seen all of these videos, and probably 500 more.

I watch that dog video ALL the time. I also go around saying “yeah….yeah….” and everyone around me who has seen it just laughs and laughs. It is truly one of the funniest things out there.

I know it’s not on the list, but my favorite viral video this year was the one of the guy joining the Bruno Mars “Marry You” flash mob to propose to his girlfriend at Downtown Disney. I watched that one several times and it made me mist up every single time. I’ve only seen TWO of these horrible videos this year and unfortunately one of them was indeed Rebecca Black. Had to see what the fuss was all about…still don’t know what all the fuss was all about.
